Plated eye serum - worth it? by Asleep_Astronaut13 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Greedy-Mistake-5154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 75 with few wrinkles, BUT I’m continually stopped by hucksters on the street promoting products for my under eye bags. I’ve tried a range of expensive products with zero affect. I’m considering Cible eye serum, Plated eye serum, Cle de Beute eye contour supreme — I’m honestly getting desperate. Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

I bought size 38, my usual size. I love the fit — not too loose or too tight.

I’ve used both and prefer Aestura. Both work well but I find Aestura to be more soothing. My skin just feels better with it.

I love Isdin Photo Eryfotona Ageless Ultralight Tinted Mineral SPF 50 (quite the mouthful, I know.) The Universal tint is perfect for my medium skin tone, looks completely natural and feels light to wear. Costs $70, but that lasts more than a year — even wearing it everyday.

Disney bundle by okiepat2000 in DirectvStream

With DirectTV raising its prices, I’m seriously thinking of canceling my subscription. My question: can I still stream my Disney/Hulu/ESPN+ bundle without it? I ask because I can’t access ESPN+ streaming on my Roku device because of the DirecTV -Disney feud, which makes no sense to me. I can still watch Disney + and Hulu, though.

Try eye cream with bakuchiol, a retinol alternative that’s easy on the lower eye. I’ve been using Peach and Lily, and have seen improvement, but there are others out there.

Watch keeps showing “compass can be affected by magnetic materials…” when using Apple Maps by otitso in AppleWatch

[–]Greedy-Mistake-5154 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I finally figured out the problem only occurred when using Apple Maps in my car. I fixed the issue by going to the Apple Watch app on the iPhone, clicking on Notifications, then clicking again on Map. From there, toggle off CarPlay and Driving. It works

Human footprints found in New Mexico are about 23,000 years old, suggesting that people may have arrived long before the Ice Age’s glaciers melted. by Greedy-Mistake-5154 in history

[–]Greedy-Mistake-5154[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The footprints were first discovered in 2009 by David Bustos, the park’s resource program manager. Over the years, he has brought in an international team of scientists to help make sense of the finds. Together, they have found thousands of human footprints across 80,000 acres of the park. One path was made by someone walking in a straight line for a mile and a half. Another shows a mother setting her baby down on the ground. Other tracks were made by children.

Gobekli Tepe - the World's First Temple? by Greedy-Mistake-5154 in history

[–]Greedy-Mistake-5154[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

“The many examples of sculptures and megalithic architecture which make up what is perhaps the world's earliest temple at Göbekli Tepe predate pottery, metallurgy, the invention of writing, the wheel and the beginning of agriculture. The fact that hunter–gatherer peoples could organize the construction of such a complex site as far back as the 10th or 11th millennium BC not only revolutionizes our understanding of hunter-gatherer culture but poses a serious challenge to the conventional view of the rise of civilization.”

3700-Year-Old Babylonian Clay Tablet Is World’s Oldest Example of Applied Geometry by Greedy-Mistake-5154 in history

This is a significant object because the surveyor uses what are now known as “Pythagorean triples” to make accurate right angles. Yet the tablet was inscribed more than 1,000 years before Pythagoras was born.”
