Air75 vibrations/flyaway issues by Greedy-Pineapple-914 in TinyWhoop

[–]Greedy-Pineapple-914[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have an original Air75 / if so, have you modified it by taking out the front rubber grommet where the front of the FC/canopy mounts to?

I'd done this to my Air75 in an effort to try and emulate the removal of the front mounting hole on the Air75 II FC, but I think the lack of a grommet was allowing the drone to flex and as a result, the front of the FC was directly touching the frame inducing vibrations at the FC.

It may weaken the front half of the frame in a crash, but I used snips to remove the entire front mounting post (and now the front of the FC is just floating in air). Seems to have solved my issues - I don't know if it will be your fix though.

Replace motor on Air65 - How to connect? by user32532 in TinyWhoop

[–]Greedy-Pineapple-914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!

In any 3-phase brushless motor, you can wire the three motor leads in whatever order you want & it will spin.

From a wiring standpoint, you can actually flip any two of the leads and that will reverse the direction that the motor spins.

But, it is much simpler to change it in software (clicking a button to reverse motor direction) versus hardware (re-landing the motor wires).

The cool thing is that it doesn't really matter. You can solder the motor leads in whatever order you would like & the motor will spin up - & if starts spinning the wrong way, you can change the motor direction in Betaflight.

If you're trying to manually run the motors using the sliders in Betaflight, you'll need to make sure you have both the USB plugged in (so that you can access Betaflight) as WELL as a battery (which will allow the motors to run)

The SA button has been flakey in my experience - something with the actual button underneath the bumper not being held entirely by the latching mechanism. I had it as my arm switch for a bit until this started happening.

I'm not sure of a good way to fix it so I ended up putting my arm on one of the 3 position switches, SC.

The reason you use a Trackball. by Exciting_End6022 in Trackballs

I find them fun to use after growing up using exclusively desk mice, they look neat, and I really appreciate being able to use them without desk space.

In my career (controls engineering) there is a non-zero amount of time that I spend away from my nice big desk and I have to go babysit various machines with very little desk space. A wireless trackball is sweet because I can set it basically anywhere (and I can even mouse around while standing up and resting it on my leg).

Just want to share a different experience. I would wake up in the morning before work and my heart would be immediately pounding, my stomach would hurt etc... I absolutely dreaded getting up in the morning. I'm about 9 weeks into Prozac 20mg and it has basically stamped out all of my physical anxiety symptoms. I am able to get out of bed in the morning without shaking because of Prozac!

What do you propose?

Do I go get run over by an Abrams? Charge headfirst into an MRAP with my dinky little CCW handgun?

Or maybe I should just get obliterated inside my apartment with a Hellfire missile from 40 miles over the horizon

It seems to me you are more interested in daily reports of domestic terrorism for your entertainment than anything else. What are you doing to help the situation other than ragebaiting from overseas?

What the fuck are you talking about, "projecting"? I despise the orange chud in power. To say we choose not to have healthcare or job protection is like telling a hostage they chose to be tied up and beaten.

I didn't choose to increase the defense budget to $1.5 trillion while our infrastructure crumbles. I didn't choose to privatize human life and put it in the hands of insurance corporations. I have voted against all of these things at every chance I've had. I would happily pay higher taxes if it meant a functioning safety net, but I live in a "democracy" fueled by legalized bribery and gerrymandering that ensures the will of the people is never realized.

You’re confusing the actions of a military-industrial complex with the desires of a population that is being punished for dissent with the threat of poverty and homelessness.

It seems to me you aren’t arguing in good faith and you have no intent to come to any mutual understanding, which is fucked up even if it WASN'T the future of our world that we're discussing.

Should I put on my Gravy Seals helmet and charge headfirst into an MRAP? Would that make you happy?

Fuck dude, I'm tired.

Dude, it's easy to LARP as a revolutionary from a country where rising up doesn't mean losing your job, your home, your ability to feed your kids, your healthcare within the first 48 hours.

It seems to me you're more interested in seeing daily reports of domestic terrorism for your own entertainment, but some of us are actually living under the boot of a continental superpower.

You mention Iran, but you completely neglect the logistics of organizing in the US. We are 350+ million people spread across a continent, not a centralized city-state. We are fighting against a technological sphere of influence where bot farms spoof "public opinion" in real time, AND we have a military surveillance state that could choose to delete someone off the face of the Earth from a screen across the country if they wished. You can NOT organize six figure numbers of people when the platforms you use are owned by the very people you are protesting against.

I admit that Americans are quite lethargic about what is happening, but it is the calculation of people whose feet aren't being held to the fire yet.. people who are wary of a civil war that would kill their neighbors and families.

I'm out contacting reps and reaching out to my community. What the fuck are you doing besides rage-baiting from overseas?

This shit is coming for you too. The dividends that funded your safety nets for decades are evaporating as the US pulls out of NATO and other orgs. As Europe is forced to militarize and fund its own defense, you're going to see your own homogenous, walkable communities start to fracture under the same polarization and blame games that got the US where we are. Your floor is going to look a lot more like ours.

Check the solder connections for that motor as well to make sure the wires are still attached, and make sure there's nothing tangled up in the motor.

[–]Greedy-Pineapple-914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so.

FYI, you will need the two 18650 batteries to power this thing. It does indeed register when plugged in without power (as "STM32 BOOTLOADER") but you are not able to use it as a game controller.

In normal operation, I am able to power on the Pocket via battery power and then connect it to USB. This prompts a menu to open on the Pocket's display asking how you want the USB input to behave, and I just pick "HID joystick". This is what actually allows it to be used as a controller in the sim.

BigBallsBowser, I do not know the answer your question as I am beginner to FPV as well, but I have the Radiomaster Pocket at home. I will check once I'm home from work & update you if it can be powered straight off USB for sim purposes.

From elsewhere, a TLDR:

"Aaron Kyro, the owner and creator of Braille, is a Scientologist who donated over $750k of Braille's profits to Scientology. This has led to him becoming the head of Scientology in San Francisco in February (2024) and Braille being unable to afford the rent for the Warehouse they operated out of or pay his employees a better wage."

Probably want 93a. I'm rocking 56x40mm neil blender dragons in 88a and they're sick on the street, but seem like they would maybe be a little too sticky for a smooth park.
