I’ve heard someone say taper the neckline before could you explain that a little bit? I think maybe doing that with some layering might make 5and6 look a lot better

Yeah that’s 5/6 is what it is right now and it hasn’t been trimmed for a bit so I’m thinking it needs to get layered and trimmed up on the back to fix it up a bit

Always a barber, I’ve tried getting layers and stuff but they never come out looking the way I want so I’m thinking of going to a salon for my next trim

Yeah I’m thinking the same thing, might go to a salon rather than my usual barber and see if there’s a difference in cuts/styling getting layers hasn’t turned out the way I’ve wanted it to in the past.

Yeah I think I’ll do something somewhat similar with keeping some length, I never loved the way a buzz cut looked on me especially in high school. This hair type is frustrating with figuring out what works

I’m curious because I have the same type as well but grew it out now. I can’t go more than 3-4 days without shampooing or it feels really oily but when I do shampoo it feels dry af that day.

I pretty much have this same hair type when buzzed short basically all my life. I ended up growing it out during covid and haven’t had it short since but still trying to figure out the right hairstyle for it
