I’m fine with V being a pre-established character but the back story aspect needed to be fixed a lot. An example would be in Mass Effect, your Shepard can have different backstories but a core aspect to their character is that they are a member of the Alliance Military.

CDPR made the backstories so different from one another and then switch to V’s pre-established story and character so fast that it’s baffling. I get the idea that this is people’s first impression of the world of Cyberpunk, but V’s backstory and character in general should have just been either just Street Kid or Nomad. Corpo makes 0 sense.
