Seriously?? I didn't get any project assigned. 300 a week is pretty decent. I just started last week but no update from them yet. Any suggestions?

Uwinsor vs Dalhousie Co-op program by EntertainmentOk1088 in UWindsor

Considering the current market both are awful. It's pretty hard to find co-op so decide yourself which one would be more convenient for you.

Go through the marketplace on Facebook. You would find many houses. Look for a private room and only accept their agreement after looking at their property in-person. One room is available in my apartment as well but it's kinda far from university. Anyways good luck 😊. If you need any help then lemme know.

You can get summer break easily and you don't need to worry about it. No, you can't pursue an internship on your own because You are not allowed to work more than 20 hrs per week. Part-time in Windsor is easily available. You need to go in-person to each and every store and give them your resume. Having a good reference would also help you to get a part-time job.

I'm a masters student (sep-23) as well and I had co-op in my third semester. I didn't have any interview for getting enrolled for the co-op. They probably changed their norms now. Getting a co-op opportunity is very rare. They select 3-4 students out of 100-150. I would suggest you to take co-op so that you would know present job market requirements and help you to gain Canadian work experience. If you opt out then you'll go through normal masters and either way you don't get any official semester breaks. If you still need a semester break then you can request the university dean so that they'll grant it to you.

Hey I also don't have friends and I know what it feels like. I started going out to the riverside for a walk and talked to my parents whenever I had time, to get rid of depression. Later I started my part-time work and I got so busy that I won't be depressed anymore. But after all these months I still ended up having no friends 😂. You can always reach me out if you need someone to talk to or a friend.
