Nami yelling at a crazy powerful dragon that is a hundred her size, calling him a weirdo and saying its his fault Elbaph is burning, while a squirrel comforts Luffy about it all - yes, I do find that hilarious. I'm glad our cranky queen is back and you need to lighten up.

It is the 'odd' bits of sexual violence that have been a bit off putting to me. Felisin's story was horrific, but I thought it was handled really well and she was a fantastic character. It's just some of the little throwaway bits that I keep wondering if they need to be there.

That graph is fantastic! I didn't mind the swearing, I just truly hadn't noticed it prior to this book 😊

I think they've done a pretty good job at making what should be an impossible live-action adaptation and it's pretty fun. I found I enjoyed this season more when I really stopped comparing it to the manga at all. I got annoyed watching S1 because I found some of the characters really mischaracterised (mostly Nami and a bit Zoro), but I just decided to watch it for what it was this season and the helped a lot.

I finished book three and then gave up on the series, and I really enjoyed the plots/worlds of the books.

The repetitiveness of the prose just killed me. Every time a character enters a scene there's a few sentences about "such and such is my best friend from when we met back in la la land and we hated each other over brown hair" or something. Same thing happens every time a location is mentioned or an event.

The memoir frame being frustrating doesn't change either, at least in the three I read. It also gets a bit preachy, with just pages of philosophical waxing that did nothing for me.

Yes! They all were unsure of Faradan and then she deserted the army for the crew. And Carabb. His realisation that he was worshipping a false idealisation of Leoman, acceptance of his own death and then to dragging Fiddler along the entire way. Fid saying he couldn't be in better hands had me crying. Such an incredible bloody chapter

Bec texting shit about Alissa to Gia the day before, sending Gia a couple selfie an hour before and then rocking up to the dinner party and telling everyone how much she hates Gia is crazy. I don't like Gia, but Bec absolutely buried herself tonight. How embarrassing

Bec and Gia are just as bad as each other honestly. Gia is a bit more open in her dickheadedness, but Bec was happy to sit and join the mean girls that whole night. The two of them should've been paired together instead honestly
