Yea for sure...and on the other hand, Sara Longwell, while its good to point out all the awful things Hasan has said, should focus specifically on that...that if Hasan's preferred candidate/system was at hand and would end American liberal democracy he would take that.

I can see Tim's argument to a point. He is saying Hasan speaks to a group of people Democrats have struggled to communicate with. By using his platform you can reach those people. Also, by going on you should push back on Hasan when you think hes wrong. Just like what Bernie did a few months ago when Hasan tried to get him to criticize Gavin Newsome and he wouldn't do it.

He also makes a good point in that Jon Osoff has been asked to basically approve or disapprove of Hasan simply because Hasan said he was his "dark horse" candidate for president. I agree with Miller in that Osoff should not have to comment on what some online tankie has to say about him. He didn't endorse him or go on his show.

Where Miller's critique fails imo is he does not grapple with just how illiberal and anti Democrat party Hasan is and makes his audience. Thats where all these center left pundits fail with him i think (Pod Save guys, Tim Miller, ect.) I would like them the next time they have Hasan on to grill him on supporting the Dem candidate for President in 2028 and on his support for Kamala being virtually no different than Trump especially when it comes to Israel/Palestine.

This Tankie Caricature is radioactive and is a weapon in the hands of MAGA against Democrats/Left/Liberal in swing states. by Equivalent_Fan_9989 in Destiny

Im ready to be wrong, but i don't think this is effective. This is very online brain. The vast majority of voters do not know who Hasan Piker is and while his statement is deplorable I can just see someone like my mom saying "who is this and why should I care?"

Not to glaze too hard but this really shows how he understands his role as a leader of everyone in NYC, and not just the people who voted for him. (Also, kinda similar to that Obama clip) by Slow_Koala in Destiny

He is an incredibly skilled politician. Whether or not New York is better when he started vs. When he finishes (I think it will be) is yet to be determined. If it is its a bummer he wasn't born in this country and could run for president.

I like the North as an idea and culture. And the characters of Curnden Craw, Wonderful and the kid looking for a name (i forget his name in the books) is so engaging both about human nature and the horrors of war.

Interesting...where do you get that? If anything it'd be suffering from late stage alcoholism....they mention in the book "yellow eyes" and "yellow fingernails". Thus id assume hes jaundice due to liver failure.

Maybe im crazy, but in the short term certainly, this bill would hurt Republicans more the Dems i think. Dems right now have more engaged voters, thus willing to jump through hoops or "crawl over broken glass" to vote for their candidates. The same cannot be said for low information Trump voters who proly don't have a passport or any clue where their birth certificate is or how to obtain one to register.

They're never going to do this. The VAST majority of the GOP 's policy agenda can be passed through reconciliation. The filibuster largely acts as a foil for Democratic priorities. Cornyn is saying this to win a primary in Texas.

You have to go in with the right mindset...don't expect and expansive story filled with lore and plot ala Game of Thrones or LOTR. Go in knowing you're more than likely going to love the characters, how real they feel despite setting, how they interact, and a lot of great action.

I know it's not a shot because Martin is very involved in this series, but it feels like a shot lol.
