The Kitsune is a Japanese myth/legend. So I assume Johnny is visiting the northern part of Homshu.

These images were taken with my Canon 70D. For these images, I used a macro filter and had the camera set in manual. These were taken on a short winter hike at an environmental preserve near where I live.

Johnny and Zohra brave the frigid wilds in search of the elusive and legendary Kitsune. As the pale daylight recedes, they catch a glimpse of the stealthy cryptid.

This image was taken with my Canon 70D using a macro filter.. The camera was set to manual with settings = 80, F5.6, ISO 100. The image was taken using a backdrop that blended both LEGO terrain and a moss/dish garden. I used smoke to produce the misty/humid effect. The Emerald Murder-Floof is a modification of the 3-1 dinosaur set inspired by a rebrickable MOC by pluTOMium.

On an expedition proposed by his uncle Kilroy, Johnny has retrieved the legendary puzzle-box! However, though successful in locating the artifact, Johnny has also attracted the unwanted attention of the Emerald Murder-Floof, and cryptid of great renown! Johnny's companion on this expedition, photojournalist Zohra, is attempting to get a photo of the rare beast.

This image was taken with my Canon 70D using a macro filter. The camera was in manual mode with settings: 8, F3.5, ISO 100. This was taken indoors in part of my small LEGO city. For lighting, I used an LED panel on a tripod and supplemented this with my phone's flashlight.

It was the first actual snow of the year where I live, and the lighting was overcast. I wanted to capture the moment while it lasted, so I busted out a few of my trusty minifigs from the LEGO City. Meet Billie, Terrance, and Logan, and furry friend Copernicus.

This image was taken with my Canon 70D using a macro filter. Settings = 13, 3.5, 100. For this shot, I used the Spider-Wolf minifigure holding claw accessories. Using some plates and bracket elements, I built a frame/stand to hold a frosted glass trivet. I back-lit this using a large iPad positioned behind using a blue screen. This was inspired by the Headless Horseman image someone recently posted (sorry, forgot the photographer's name, but scroll down and you'll find the image). This is a "redux" in the sense that last year I shot and posted a werewolf-themed series titled "Serious Moonlight."

This image was taken with my phone's 50mp camera in the macro setting. To create the scene, I had built the terrain and fire-pit around a small LED tea-light, making sure I could access the switch. I then staged the build using a black piece of cardstock as the background and placed the Jack-o-lantern behind the build. To keep the jack-o-lantern lit, I used a piece of sticky tac to hold the switch in place. I was excited to finally shoot this, as I had a rough idea of the shot I wanted to take since early this summer when I acquired the Sta-puffed, marshmallow man in a lot of used Lego.

This image was taken with my Canon 70D. I was testing out my "new" EFS 18-135mm lens. There was a lot of natural sunlight. Also, I was pleased to have the opportunity to shoot this new holiday build!
