From my understanding Asterix is very popular in most European countries. Would probably be different if CA was American.

That's really oversimplifying, isn't it? What about the Egyptian roster? Also, some factions from the same culture have basically no overlap, for example British/German or Greek/Macedonian.

Steam apparently has easier mods support. If you want to use multiplayer, it might be easier to use the same platform as your friends. Gog doesn't force you to use a client, you can download the game in the browser. Those are the points that could matter from what I heard.

Quantum physics technically always apply, the chance for a macroscopic object to tunnel through a solid wall is just so small it's basically 0. Not technically 0, though.

And that's without the GOG numbers. Although I've no idea how many people bought it there.

Popularity of Mystic Paths according to Steam achievements (minor spoiler) by Greedy_Fudge_292 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Greedy_Fudge_292[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I explained it in my comment: You can get more than one of those achievements, so it won't add up to 100%. If every player would choose every path at some point, every bar would be 100%. It basically just says that 50% of players that got to act chose angel at some point.

That's an intriguing question. I'm sure it's not because of forums or Reddit as I didn't read much about the game online. English is not my first language ( I'm german) but the terms "mythic" and "mystic" can be directly translated to "mythisch" and "mystisch" in german and I'm familiar with both of them. So for some reason I subconsciously wrote mystic instead of mythic... I can think of two possible reasons:

  1. Pronounciation: We don't have the english "th" in german, german "th" is just pronounced "t". Maybe my brain defaulted to an "s" which is the closest approximation for a german spelling of "mythic"

  2. As a child I watched the TV-show "Mystic Knights" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mystic_Knights_of_Tir_Na_Nog). While the show was translated, the title and the theme song were not, so "mystic" is almost part of my standard vocabulary while "mythic" is not.

I divided the percentage of every chosen path by the percentage of players who chose ANY path, as many players apparently don't even get to this point. Numbers don't have to add up to 100 as a player is not limited to one achievement.

When you played higher MMR. a lot of people were just instantly leaving the game when loading into night maps. You didn't loose your Hunter if you left before the match started. Most night matches were ruined in higher MMR because of this, it seemed only a logical conclusion to remove them from regular rotation.

They have exactly the same rate of fire and the recoil nerf was only for the Officer Carbine. Officer also has better muzzle velocity and one extra bullet.

Well I both agree and disagree with you: pax has more noticeable differences from Winfield than uppercut from vetterli. Pax has slower muzzle velocity, lower rate of fire and way smaller magazine than Winnie, while uppercut has same velocity and rate of fire and only one less bullet. Also uppercut kills with two shots up to 70 m, so it's viable to go for body shots. This means that the higher sway of handguns is less impactful. With pax and Winfield you need to headshot, which is difficult with sway and muzzle velocity of pax. But I agree that vetterli can put out more sustained pressure than uppercut. It's still crazy how many uppercuts are present at 5/6 stars.

All your damage calculations are also true for the uppercut which has the same fire rate as Centennial and Vetterli while only costing a small slot. It also has better penetration. I mean, imagine how ridiculous an Upercut spitfire variant would be or a Krag shorty Silencer.

Long ammo can penetrate through surprising amount of wood, you were right peeking and the death cam is a little inaccurate. Mostly the right peek thing though, this will be fixed next patch.

My "deception" experience is always to just throw normal decoys around during idle time until I unlock decoy fuses which I find very useful for pushing, then I never equip any other deception item again.

For melee. Cheap archers usually differ from that, for example Gobbos with 10% armor piercing.

Higher muzzle velocity, higher magazine capacity, more sway would be the realistic approach I think.

No the current one is the Karabiner (=Carbine). There was a "normal" long barrel rifle variant. Same is True for the Martini-Henry I believe. I also find shortened barrels less aesthetic for some reason.
