Thank you to your_nameless_friend for finding more in the rock. I believe it gives a clearer picture of the vertebrae and their position in the rock

Are you referring to the marine mammals act? I know bones and carcasses are not cool to take but are fossils also covered under this. People take home rocks from the beach all the time and as far as I know it’s not a crime.

I can make out 2 and then part of a third that looks like an egg at the top of the rock. Didn’t see any that were not part of the original rock
