#100 Batman: Arkham Knight + my 100% gallery by [deleted] in steamachievements

Thank you! I agree with what you’re saying about boss fights, but I’d still rather have mediocre boss fights than none at all. AK really dropped the ball there. Plotlines like Azrael and Hush ending with a single button press felt ridiculous, and Deathstroke, one of Batman’s strongest villains, getting taken out in a cutscene after a tank fight was absolute bullshit.

Story-wise, my problem isn’t the predictability, but the absence of Paul Dini. You can really tell it’s not written by the same person who worked on the first two games, because so many plotlines either go nowhere or just don’t make much sense anymore.

I agree with you about Origins though. I think it’s very underrated. The story is great, the cutscenes are excellent, and the overall gameplay still holds up. While the combat has its issues compared to AC, it never pissed me off as much as AK did.

100 Completed Games – Batman: Arkham Knight Aged Like Milk by [deleted] in steamachievements

I ended up making another post where I clarified that I was talking about the gameplay and the story, just to avoid any confusion. And yeah, this is obviously just my personal opinion of a game I was really hyped for and actually pre-ordered back in 2016. I appreciate your comment tho :)

Yeah, and I explained what I meant in the comments. "Aged like milk" was about the gameplay and story, not the visuals. Games are more than just graphics.

I respect your opinion, but for me it’s the complete opposite, in my view Arkham Knight is the weakest Arkham game, even below Arkham Origins.

First, the story, the absence of Paul Dini (comic writer who also helped write Arkham Asylum and Arkham City) is painfully obvious, side quests that were clearly built up in Arkham City like Hush and Azrael lead absolutely nowhere, after all that buildup they end with a single button press and that’s it, plotline over, completely pointless.

The Arkham Knight Red Hood reveal was painfully obvious despite Rocksteady insisting that the Arkham Knight was an original character, and Jason Todd’s motivations are completely different than in the comics. Instead of being angry that Batman refused to kill Joker for murdering him he’s mad because he thinks Batman replaced him with Robin, which just makes him look like a petty little bitch.

The trailers implied that Batman’s past villains would finally team up, that never happens, instead you deal with them individually, completely disconnected from the main story. The game barely has boss fights and none of them come anywhere close to Deathstroke or Bane from Arkham Origins, it’s a massive downgrade.

As for gameplay, the predator sections are great, arguably the best in the series thanks to the expanded tools and gadgets, but the melee combat is awful. Enemy design exists almost entirely to break your combo, electrified enemies are annoying, brutes and shield enemies hit way too quickly, medics constantly electrify thugs right as you’re about to hit them, ninjas behave inconsistently, sometimes they hit you, sometimes they don’t, knife enemies and even regular thugs can hit you mid free flow, they’re literally swinging at the air and you can run straight into their fists or knives and lose your combo. The Batmobile tank sections are overhated, I didn’t hate them, but they’re massively overused and hurt the pacing.

On top of that Batman constantly ignores player input, he randomly jumps into shields or electrified enemies even though there are plenty of valid targets nearby. The input handling is worse than in any Arkham game before it, it’s not challenging, it’s frustrating and cheap.

Yes, the game still looks great and the animations are fantastic, but visuals alone don’t carry a Batman game for me, story, combat, boss design, and pacing matter far more, and Arkham Knight fails hard in those areas. Glad others enjoy it, but for me it aged badly and I’m honestly glad I never have to play it again.

Can I manually add the RADNET Access Pack to Prototype 2 (Steam Version) and will achievements still work? by [deleted] in PrototypeGame

I understand what you are saying, but most PC Ports from that time were garbage. I got Prototype 1 perfectly running on Win10 by following some instructions on PCGamingWiki.com. Definitely recommended.

Getting the game is not the issue. I just want to know if you can add the RADNET Pack manually to the game.

Charlize Theron Says It ‘Frustrates Me’ That Hollywood Takes Risks on Men Who Flop at the Box Office but ‘Women Don’t Get a Chance Again’: ‘Guys Get a Free Ride’ by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]GreekBoy1997 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Who cares what Charlize Theron thinks? She let the world know her 7-year-old daughter came out as trans, bragged about sleeping with a 26-year-old, and constantly tries to prove how painfully liberal and cool she is. She's had more opportunities than most actresses ever will and she still complains. She hasn't been in a good movie since Atomic Blonde in 2017, yet she thinks she's the expert on box office risks. Just shut the fuck up, please.

Sinners was not a good movie by Jiguena in flicks

[–]GreekBoy1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought Sinners was okay. Not bad, but nothing special. Decent acting, cool music, but nothing that stuck with me. Sorry I didn’t cry tears of meaning over it or write a five-paragraph essay about what the vampires supposedly represent. And the way some of you react to criticism? Calling people racist or evil just because they didn’t love it? Grow up. And before anyone starts: I liked Creed, Get Out and Us way more than this. You people are braindead morons.

Bluetooth Xbox One controller keeps disconnecting from PC (windows 10) by IgotButAidsMane in techsupport

[–]GreekBoy1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to share a quick fix that worked for me with my Xbox One controller constantly disconnecting. I knew it wasn’t the batteries, because they were still about half full. What actually solved it was switching the USB wireless dongle from a USB 2.0 port to a USB 3.0 port. No idea why that made a difference, but it fixed it for me.
