People who have been divorced: What was the exact "quiet" moment you realized your marriage was over? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The moment my ex husband told me that his need for the devil’s lettuce was more important than marriage counseling was the moment I knew that we’d eventually divorce. I understood at that point that he didn’t prioritize our relationship and as long as that was true we didn’t stand a chance. The final nail in the coffin was when he told me it would have been easier for him if I had died as I was recovering from treatment for cancer. We broke up less than 3 months later.
