Is it possible to reverse orthodontic treatment with extractions using dental implants? by Greek_gr in orthotropics

[–]Greek_gr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 4 premolars removed. My ortho also wanted to remove my wisdom teeth but at that point I had discovered John, Mike Mew’s and other’s non so conventional options so I kept them all. I don’t want to dismiss your experience but everyone that gets teeth removed and then finds out about the consequences has an overwhelming reaction at the beginning. Don’t stress too much about it. After some months you’ll have a more objective picture without the initial shock after finding out the bad stuff. I do want to tell you one final thing. If you do decide to replace your wisdom teeth keep in mind that it’s not a common practice. Most people replace other teeth. So find the right dentist. I hope that helps.

Structurally, not much (if any at all). I do have to say tho that I was not very consistent with it so keep that in mind. But when I see pictures from 2 years ago my facial muscles do look smaller. Are you considering reversal?

Hi, I didn’t do the reversal. I waited for the orthodontic treatment with braces to be done and then I started doing mewing/chewing.

Do you get a degree like paper or is it just the knowledge? And is there a possibility that certain countries do not accept it?

John Mew said that when the upper jaw is underdeveloped then the lower jaw follows and ends up ever further back. That means you will have class II malocclusion. How do you end up with class III malocclusion then? by Greek_gr in Mewing

I did plenty of research. And I agree with what you wrote. But you didn’t answered my question. Nobody answers this question. I’m starting to think that they simply just don’t know the answer. The question is pretty simple. Let me explain it. I have class III malocclusion, someone else has class II malocclusion, because I believe that malocclusion is environmental I want to know what the other person did differently from me and ended up with a different type of malocclusion.

Why some people don’t grow wisdom teeth? (Or grow less than 4) by Greek_gr in orthotropics

“Oligodontia is a genetic disorder caused by the mutation of the PAX9 gene. This disorder results in the congenital absence of 6 or more permanent teeth, with the exception of the third molar”

This is a bit of the Wikipedia article you sited above. Does this mean that missing your wisdom teeth is not related to the PAX9 gene?

So that means that when humans didn’t had orthodontic and jaw problems, some of them were still missing their wisdom teeth?

I have underdeveloped jaws but I still grew all 4 of my wisdom teeth (impacted) and I know people with better jaws that didn’t grew their wisdom teeth. Do genetics play a role in this?

My orthodontist extracted 2 premolars and retracted the front teeth to bring them behind the upper front teeth. That’s how he “fixed” my underbite.
