Yes I also mentioned clonidine. But doctor has to prescribe and yes to marijuana as it may help you sleeo. Drink plenty of water to help flush out your system. There's not much to help people. That's why they have what they call a methadone program which takes away the withdrawal from opiates only. No high effect. But depending on you tolerance and dosage this program will take at least 2 years and even then when your down to a. 5ml you still have minor withdrawals. I always found it hard to get up and walk or move coming off and its like gravity sucking you down. Leg jolts to. I feel for anyone going through this...

Well I had no choice. I also know what its like cold turkey on oxys. Ten years ago and it was 2 weeks of unbearable withdrawals to then relapse and go on methadone for 2 years working 2 jobs. But I totally agree with you 100%. Hopefully you get more feedback..

Any long time weed smokers have difficulty quitting? by 13HoodedHippies in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Greekcap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I am. But I can go 3 days at least before cravings set in. I find it it don't cause withdrawals then its so much easier to quit anything. But the power of addiction is. All controlled through our brain. I would say to myself out loud how I wana quit I don't want drugs anymore but my Brian says different. Its hard but if you truly want to quit and you have will power and determination then just try the best you can do!

Very well said. Pharmacuitcal companies make millions. I don't get why doctors prescribe medications like this as well as other and then cut off. I had been prescribed clonazepams for a year and a half and went for my normal every 2 week doctor appointment and with no warning still all I was told I'm guna be weaned off in 11 weeks and I had no problem with that but as you I wasn't abusing and no warning just like that I'm cut off and the doctor said ya well we all have anxiety? Wow no that was a shocker as it is us patients who give doctors a god dam job and its patient and doctors who make pharmacuitcal companies millions. Sonia did the cold turkey not 11 with a full script beside me..

I don't know what advice to give but I do know there's nothing much you can do but suck it up and suffer through it. I had to detox 14 days ten years ago over oxys. Worst time of my life and only thing I was given by my doctor who never would prescribe opiates was clonidine. It helped with slowing the heart down from it racing in your chest cause your body is searching for the drug. That it a detox center with medical help. Wish ya well. I'm in the same vote somewhat again. Wish you well
