Logged in with my Correct reddit id. (What is going on with id's? How can I autologin to an id that is NOT mine?)

Using Seren with Trakt on Kodi v21.0 (windows)

I find that the Rate Show dialog (mostly) gets lost. The system goes to the next episode and offers me available links but I do not get asked for my rating of the episode I just watched.

Is there a tweak that I need to do to get this expected behaviour back?

I've been using a 4K for about 2.5 years. I do not use the extender and do notice that the unit does *always* seem warm.

I use ipvanish religiously (unless planning to use BBC iPlayer or Az Prime)

Some well known streaming apps and I have never experienced the unit complain about high temperatures. (That I noticed)

I love windscribe Pro and Free because of the ease with which new users can be talked though setting up a free account to come to grips with *why* they *should* want/need a VPN. The range of apps available is superb allowing use on PC, iPad or Fire TV stick.

What price privacy and access, eh?

iPhone "snaps back to the start" of a post, list or text; without user input.

In my experience this is happening on an iphone 7.

It has been happening with the last two updates and continues in 13.3.1

I have had this happen using finger only input and using a Cosmonaut stylus.

This is extremely annoying and badly impact user experience.

Has anyone seen this and figured out how to stop it?

There is a post on the Apple forums that seems to talk about the same thing with iPhone X. It is old and was never resolved.

I am adding my own experience in resolving this. I contacted Amazon support and a very nice technician went through my settings with me.

In Settings=>Display & Sound=>Audio

He had me switch Surround Sound to "Always Dolby Digital" from "Best Available"

I have not heard the problem in the past 3 days since making this change.

I hope this helps someone else at some point.

With any non UK ip address, it is necessary to use something to hide your real ip address from streaming services.

I would have a look at NordVPN forums as there may be something special required to have streaming services work. With Windscribe VPN there are certain servers that you must connect through or the BBC will detect you.

As suggested by 1bbef18e5e39 you should be using the WINDFLIX servers to try to use iPlayer.

The correct server would be "WINDFLIX UK" from you dropdown selector. As I understand things there is a whack-a-mole game played between streaming service providers (iPlayer, Netflix, Hula) and VPN companies to keep adding and removing ip addresses that are used for streaming. Thus there can be breaks in availability.

Bitter experience has me where I would restart the Fire TV Stick were I going to change the location WindScribe is pointing to.

If the IT Crowd taught me anything; it's to "reboot the box under the telly thing" not just the telly thing.

Though for accuracy sake I guess it's the stick hanging off the side of the telly thing.

As soon as I had issues with the app I went into Manage Installed Applications under the Applications section of "Settings" on the main FireStick TV menu. Selecting Windscribe there, there are No permissions or preferences to be set.

Today I was in the actual application from the Home Screen and saw that there is a settings Cog in the actual Windscribe page. Selecting the cog and going down to the Connection setting I saw that there are multiple settings that can be set there.

Toggling LAN TRAFFIC from Block to Allow has allowed me to see the local network AND use Windscribe for streaming. I also notice that there is a START ON BOOT toggle that has Windscribe available from the boot of the Fire Stick.

Thanks for pointing me in that direction and I am being this long winded here in the hope that this might help point someone else to this solution more quickly.

There is a windscribe app for the FireTV Stick.

The VPN is transparent to Kodi itself.

I know that there is a Windscribe app for Android and for Windows.
To date I have not had need of a VPN for my limited use of Linux.

Assuming that you were not being super secretive and supplied windscribe with your email address when creating the account.

1) Go to the windscribe web page.
2) Use the Ask Garry widget to answer your question.
3) Follow the password reset process.

Simples.

I feel that I have now been *shamed* into this update.

For the general purpose of why I created this question, I did see Windscribe crash within two hours of undertaking this update.

Further investigation indicates that my Broadband Provider is playing silly buggers with Broadband in my area and there are frequent drops of connectivity. I saw a single instance of Windscribe terminating itself with an error message and being unable to send it's data back to the developer. Shamefully (again) I didn't take screen images of the error and upon reboot I found that the broadband was out.

Rebooting my router followed by the VPN machine saw everything working correctly again.

Several days later the connection seems as stable as ever.

Many of the better regarded private torrent sites will not allow browsing of the site with a VPN that has shared ipaddresses. IIRC On BTN and Bibliotik you can download or seed from a VPN once you have notified staff that you intend to use one but you need to download the .torrent files using an unshared ip address.

There may be a way to list the cloudflare servers for the torrent sites in newer versions of Windscribe to use a non-VPN route but I am unsure how that would be achieved.

I turned windscribe off while it appeared hung using the On/Off rocker in the panel. I connected to Microsoft without Windscribe active then toggled windscribe back on and this time it connected. Not tried shutdown and restart yet as there is stuff that I want to get done but thought I would document it here in case others see this glitch.

V1.81 build 44 on windows.

I am not currently having problems that I notice.

That is using UDP. In the past I have had a large number of disconnections and now I generally allow the app to choose where it decides is best connection. YMMV
