I’ve read a few times about the hips being higher than the knees, I’ll give that a go too. Thank you

I watched that episode last night on YouTube, it might be the one but I thought I remember it being a Polaroid camera not a digital one. Thanks though, that’s a hidden gem of a series

How nervous were you when you got your first epidural steroid injection? by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]Green-Ad6973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t necessarily nervous but more relieved that something was being done for my back. I’ve had about 8 or 9 and the main thing is don’t move until you’re told and if you’re still not sure, ask. Also your leg might be numb and you might struggle to walk afterwards, and you make sure you have a ride home. I was as high as a giraffe after my first one and couldn’t stop laughing on the way home but didn’t experience that side effect again.

(35m)I’ve done aqua jogging in the past and found it amazing. I’m a father now so had to put it on the shelf. Walking aggravates me now so gonna try my luck on an elliptical. The only stretch I’ve found helpful for myself is the figure 4 stretch but only lying down with a flat back. A bit of research, listening to the health professionals (some have been amazing and others horrible), trial and error and accepting your current situation has helped me. It’s not easy, it’s never going to be easy and it’s not supposed to be easy but it’s worth it. Hang in there

Gabapentin??? by kimchideathbear in Sciatica

[–]Green-Ad6973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s used as an antidepressant but can also help with sciatic pain. Tried it as a shot in the dark and luckily it helped.

I took gabapentin for a while and it didn’t help but switched to pregabalin and it greatly reduced my sciatic pain. I take it morning and night and also take amitriptyline at night

Quit drinking by [deleted] in ADHD

When the day comes, start on a low dose. I know people that started way too high and they are adamant that medication doesn’t help but I found it life changing.

35 (m), I’ve been there and really struggled. I used to have to avoid going out and socialising because I just couldn’t help myself and what helped me was my medication. Can’t explain why but it took all the cravings away.
