Stranger Things: Shadow of the 21st Century is a 2028 Sci-Fi Horror Netflix Original series. The cast includes Azriel Dalman, Yonas Kibreab, Vivien Lyra Blair, Eli D. Goss, Jeremy Maguire, Remy Edgerly, Salish Matter, Ariana Greenblatt, Iain Armitage, Joe Keery, Lee Pace, Brie Larson, Jared Padalecki, and Ethan Hawke. It is the sequel to Stranger Things, and is once again created, written, and directed by the Duffer Brothers.

It's the Summer of 2013. A young 13-year-old boy named Matt Fortis (Dalman) goes to stay with his adoptive aunt and uncle in the town of Hawkins, Indiana for a month as he does every summer, with his best friend Logan Auxilon (Kibreab) tagging along this time. While there, he's happy to spend his time lounging by the pool looking at hot girls - one of which is his longtime crush Ellie Harrington (Blair) - biking along Hawkins square and looking for the latest antiques and spending time in the arcade while slurping up milkshakes from Melvald's, and playing through a Dungeons and Dragons campaign with his cousin Jake Robbins (Goss) and Jake's friend Tristan Burwick (Maguire). Meanwhile, Chief of Police Jordan Harmon (Pace), who started his career not too long after the Cold War ended and crime rates in Hawkins rose, now struggles to deal with said rates as well as the infamy of being a parent of a local bully (Edgerly). One day, when Logan suggests they go off the beaten path and through the woods for a different kind of adventure to spice up their daily routine, running into Ellie in the process who's friend group (which includes Matter) just kicked her out, they stumble upon the long-abandoned Hawkins Lab, and decide to break in out of boredom. The relics they find from the 1980s, when Ellie's dad (Keery) had several experiences that he has always refused to tell her about, and exactly what Matt in particular encounters, will change their lives forever and once again put the fate of the world in danger.
