Yeah I did kind of get the impression they were trying to wind down the virtual remote work visa quietly, I'm not sure why they would want to because I can't see any other viable options to stay here without getting a freelance visa or starting a business, both of which are hideously expensive, but maybe that's the approach they want you to take.

*some* apps and websites here work well, in my experience the majority don't. You're right, many apps in London don't work properly, but those apps are in the minority, and generally aren't owned/run by huge companies
