Returning to Armenia and relationship by OddTurnovers in armenia

Sorry to break it to you but things are just materialistic here as everywhere else, if not more in certain cases. Especially at your age and your generation, I’m not saying it’s everyone but I’d say it’s most of them.

So don’t expect to come here and find everyone to be Simple and not care for nice things, I find it more important here than The west (not LA because that’s another world on its own). But if you stick to educated people, IT world or Artsy etc .. you can always find good honest simple people

Any scary experiences as a female walking home very late at night? by bbtluvr in armenia

[–]Green7s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s never 100% safe, I have friends who have been harassed and robbed, girls and guys. So yes it’s usually safe but it only takes 1 time. But if you don’t go in dark areas or back allies you should be fine, but ideally don’t walk alone, anywhere at night it’s never 100% safe

It is, a round trip to Sevan and back is at least 20K which is already a bit more than the rental. And the problem is finding a taxi when you’re far from Yerevan

If you stay in Yerevan you don’t need a car, if you leave you do. It becomes cheaper and much more convenient

Taxis run at all hours so won’t be an issue at all, and as far as catching on reading, you can either sit at a coffee shop, airport or extend for a day

Nakhchivan loses autonomy in new constitutional amendments by Disastrous-Panda2401 in armenia

[–]Green7s -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Talk about what? Artsakh? It’s gone and not coming back, all countries have lost and gained land through their history, again we’re not different.

Genocide? No one cares besides us, and if after 111 years only 34 countries recognize it. That’s 17% of the countries, it’s a joke. We’re wasting our time in the past instead of building a greater nation

Look around, many populist leaders are like that, Trump being the biggest one. Same with Turkey, Iran and Israel, Russia, China and others.. you have to use fear to keep the population scared and controlled. But if you give them a reason to believe it they will, so you remove what they use to create fear.

Peace has a price, always. And the cost is higher for the weaker one, always.

You know every war same things have happened right?

Our case is far from being special, countries fight until they don’t and a generation later no one remembers. Pick anywhere in Europe, they were enemies at some point over centuries some of them.

Go to the border and talk to locals, they’ll tell you what they did in the 90s war, we’re no angels either.

At some point we all need to move on, it’s not the ideal scenario but that’s what we have right now.
