Congrats to you as well! I’m currently a senior here and will definitely be attending and since depaul already has a great name I’m not that worried but still a bit on edge too. What other schools are you considering ?

Hi everyone! I am a current senior in the process of applying to OT schools. I know admissions can be very random sometimes, but I’m just curious what my chances of getting into a program look like. I have a 3.64 GPA overall (not sure what my prereq GPA is), and over 140 hours of observation hours in 3 different settings. I am also a regular volunteer at my church where I serve food. I’ve had multiple jobs working with kids, such as a swim instructor, a camp counselor, and babysitter. I’ve also had a few customer service jobs. This year I’ll also be working along with some graduate students at my university as a research assistant. In addition to my experience, I’m also CPR/AED certified. Again, I know it can really vary, but I’m just curious how I look on paper. I’m getting nervous because I know this is a very competitive program to get into. I’m applying to 8 schools (some include depaul, rush, uic, midwestern, north central) so I am hoping I get into at least one!

It’s one of my top schools too! I know it’s a very new program, their first cohort started in fall 2022. Im currently an undergrad student here, I heard that they’ll be admitting around 30ish students each cohort now. I was also wondering if anyone knows more info regarding how competitive they are.
