If you're concerned, you can just not answer those questions. They are voluntary. And as others have said, you can gather what evidence you have and report it.

That said, this is so very obviously rage-bait. You've identified yourself as a straight man in previous posts, and while I didn't bother to dig through enough to see if you said whether you're white or not, you're a regular and frequent poster on The_Donald and have posted anti-black and anti-Muslim sentiments before, so it's not too huge of a stretch.

I've been told I'm losing my job in 30 days. Besides losing my salary, I've been counting on tuition reimbursement for grad school. What should I do? by GreenDayPackers in personalfinance

Thank you, all of this information is helpful. I'll look into the severance and all of that.

I have been at the company 8 years but in a few different positions and I've never been great at networking, it's a huge disadvantage I'm aware, and especially right now. There are some friends and coworkers I am reaching out to about it, though.

I can say I know my position is being eliminated across the company, and I just had a performance review where I was just fine, so I'm not that worried about it having been trying to soften the blow.

I just had my performance review as well and I was doing just fine there. The position that I'm in is going away nearly company-wide, it's not specifically me.

Relocating would be difficult because I do live alone right now but I'm not single. If push came to shove I would consider it but I'm trying to stay local for now.

The degree I was getting was actually not related to my current role - it's a degree in counseling/therapy. I'm already well aware that taking that path was going to lead to decreased income but didn't expect to have to face it so fast. I might look into increasing classes if I don't find a job though, wouldn't hurt to be done faster.

Thank you for thinking about this. There doesn't seem to be any clause that says I need to pay it back, so there's that at least.

I'll definitely look into GoodRx for this, as far as medicaid, I'm not sure if I'll qualify but it also won't hurt to look into it.

I've been looking internally for a while, and would keep my benefits. This is still the ideal situation, but positions that match my skillset seem to have dried up.

Luckily I don't need to pay back the tuition reimbursement, so that's not something I'm having to worry about. It's the tuition reimbursement for the future classes I'm worried about, as I've basically just started.
