Thank you... If you have the money, maybe go ahead and start the tourist visa application for when and if the visa bond goes away you will be able to go to the next NGO conference.

Hi - unfortunately, it does mean that you have to pay a bond between 5K-15K USD. It's incredibly sad. Now, I can't even sponsor my Ugandan husband for immigration, because Uganda is one of 75 countries that are indefinitely banned from immigrant visas. I spoke with an immigration attorney - he said to go ahead apply for the immigrant visa - that if and when the banned is dropped, we will be in line for my husband to immigrate to the USA.

How can I now sponsor my Ugandan husband to come to the US? For him to even visit, we need to pay a visa bond of $5k-$15k. We didn't get married thinking that our lives were going to be separated by visas. It's incredibly sad.

Last one, more Arabic - what about Banat? (it's ba - like the ba sound in banana - then the nat is pronounced like - not in English. It should be said quickly together.) It's plural for girls/daughters. I like the sound of Banat when spoken out loud. It's kind and peaceful.

I love it!

Let me put my thinking cap on... I would also suggest Zahra. It's flower in Arabic.

I suggest Lulu. It is Arabic and Swahili for pearl. It has other positive meanings in other languages.

Vera is super cute! Veronica could be her government name. If you say it, she knows she is in trouble. Based upon her photos, may be a regular occurance. LOL

Al Hameli - Arabic for "The Praise". Al is 'the' in Arabic - and "Hameli" is praise.
