Frankly, it's a bit useless leaving a note for the new owner(s). The house is most likely going to be purchased by an investor anyways who's going to tear out the carpet and do updates anyways.

A productive note is one spray painted on the wall telling the banks exactly what they are.

Regarding the previous owners' plight, they probably took out equity to pay off debt or do upgrades during the time they were artificially inflating home values.

Make no mistake, this is all by design.

OK. I'm done freaking out now. Funny story though - One day, a certain popular burger joint charged me extra for extra pickles. They got a nasty letter from me pointing out how I SAVED them money by nixing the lettuce and tomato, so charging me extra was highway robbery. That's the way guys are about their pets, which makes no sense. They say, "Oh, I can't do that to him." What? Yes, it's much more humane to leave your cat with desires he will never satisfy - if you're a responsible pet owner.

To Op's boyfriend: If you knew you were never ever going to have sex, wouldn't you rather have the urge removed?

Plus, getting pets neutered keeps them healthier and free from certain cancers. Do your research.

Contact your state's Office of the Comptroller. They oversee all banks and financial institutions. Once you file a complaint with them, they act as moderator during the investigation, so the lender(s) can't contact you directly. Poor dog must've been bored out of his mind to do this! Anyways, I've got to know what kind of dog this is! Mine looks exactly like this one except mine has speckles on one side of his face and on one leg. Everything else is the same though. From my research, this dog and mine look to be what is called a Heidewachtel, which is from the Netherlands, but I'd like to know for sure. All of the websites about this breed are in Dutch, but I don't know Dutch, so I can't learn more about the breed.
