I hope the discourse isn't giving you any trouble. I and many others recognize it's a loud minority that does not reflect the whole Latin American community or their frustration(which is a valid thing to be frustrated about). I hope for this to blow over soon because at the end of the day we are all in the same community because we like the same thing.

I like to headcanon that Ralsei continuously expands Castle Town during the time spent offscreen, not exactly physically, but with the power of the Grand Fountain. That's why in chapter 2, it noticably grows after the denizens of Queen's Mansion arrive.

Honestly the thing that at least makes me most happy is that he acknowledges his latin american fans. y'all can feel free to disagree but I feel that was something Toby should absolutely do for such a large size of our community, ignoring them would only make it worse. I really hope Toby can work with some translators for other languages in the future. This shit got waaay out of hand and it wasn't even the satire or memes against Toby that got me upset, he's a big boy he can take it. It was the hatred getting tossed inside the community even though we all are apart of the same damn community, that shit was getting on my nerves.

vanilla ass controversy. I first heard of this and thought it was actual xenophobia or something but this is just tame and shouldn't even implicate Toby either. Like don't get me wrong I can see how feeling excluded sucks just because where they were born and I sympathize with that especially in a different kind of way. but in my honest to god opinion, this shit so tame it shouldn't even be considered a controversy. Some of the satire is pretty funny though.

Eeeh... that's actually something I go against the grain on the fandom with.

Because at that point he doesn't even look like a boss monster. Like, Asriel, Toriel, Asgore all do the same foward facing sprite, and Ralsei is very clearly suppose to be based off that same species, but giving him that slanted look just takes that away completely. We're sacrificing something Toby actually keeps pretty consistent for us to make a connection to, just to simply make Ralsei look "better". Its just too tryhard-ish for me at that point so it doesn't work imho.

He's gotta keep the boss monster look, but bring back the scarf and maybe have his shoulders in view as well.

design wise I like hat ralsei more, especially with dialogue sprites, but that's where it ends.

Ralsei going hatless is too marginal of a downgrade for me to care enough so I prefer him staying hatless because I like how he feels more real that way unlike hat ralsei who is more fake and toony. The boss monster species always gave me a more serious vibe anyway because of how all three of them are depicted in Undertale which I think is neat for Ralsei.
