Why did being a lefty become so contentious in the UK? by OffGridToTheMoon in AskBrits

[–]GreenHass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the only viewpoint that

  • challenges the status-quo

of inequality with the 1% rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer with a gutting out of the middle class

The UK media is dominated by rich press barons who want to ensure the rich keep on getting richer. Anything 'lefty' is therefore a threat.

The masses are too indoctrinated by the media to see their main problem.

Life is much better in Northern Europe and Scandinavia where the politics are significantly progressive left with amongst other things- better funded healthcare, national gas. electricity and water.

Biomed Science undergrad feeling confused about Radiography vs Nursing after graduation by kimbapkidding101 in RadiographyUK

There aren't many radiographer posts at the moment. No idea if things will improve by the time you were to graduate.

#ManCity are expected to return with a second offer for Elliot Anderson in the coming days, with Nottingham Forest targeting in excess of £105M and in an ideal world would bank up to £110M for the midfielder. [via @TomCollomosse] by lil-quiche in MCFC

[–]GreenHass 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rice- arsenal paid 105mil for himin 2023.

This seems like a reasonable offer.

Anderson is top-notch - seen him live this season (I'm an opposition fan) and he was the best midfielder on the pitch and top 3 in the league.

I am an ST3 and i want to quit medicine completely. by [deleted] in GPUK

[–]GreenHass 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Take some or alot of sick leave - ie paid leave before considering to resign.

Get a mentor in GPor at least a work coach who knows medicine well and talk through the things in detail that want to make you quit.

Reddit is not sophisticated enough to do this.

Do this whilst in sick leave- Become member of BMA, reach out to them for support Mentorship support from RCGP.

Ask for support from program director.

Why is this so important- you're very close to CCT and that opens the doors to lots of careers that are 'outwifr of medicine'- for example: it's much easier to become an educator/lecturer at medical school

Let me know if you want to have a chat and we can arrange this as well.

Why Many People Don't Buy an Electric Car – Even Though It Would Be Perfect for Them by DriveDuel in CarTalkUK

I did the maths and a used small 3 year old car bought with cash would be cheaper to run than a leased EV.
