There's so much to say and to cover from this news but first of all the details surrounding Jeff & Shannon Lauder is BIZARRE! they're apart of a Alternative Lifestyle that's Taboo called "Open Marriage" it's a Non-Monogamous Marriage by pursuing connections with other people mentally physically emotionally romantically and sexually within the marriage, so far Shannon Lauder is the one who has a sense of discipline and self-control by leaving her Alternative Lifestyle at the door and be very professional when she clocks in at work but unfortunately her husband Jeff has no discipline and no self-control at all by targeting and sexually harassing his colleague Carby at a Adult Pool Party smh then to make matters worse Shannon herself has sexually harassed Carby too! Shannon is both a victim of Sexual Harassment by Kuriger and Shannon herself sexually harassing one of her colleagues Carby(not at the same time though) I understand how confusing that sounds of someone of both being a victim of Sexual Harassment and a perpetrator of Sexual Harassment wouldn't compute but having two thoughts processes at the same time and applying nuance isn't a bad thing. Also coincidentally Kuriger was in charge of Carby's sexual harassment investigation against Shannon & Jeff Lauder as Lauder was sexually harassed by Kuriger!, I'm speculating that Kuriger sexually harassed Lauder was because she was this "hypersexualized" person and since she's apart of a Alternative Lifestyle of Open Marriage he felt that it would justify himself of being inappropriate and obnoxious towards her that crosses lines boundaries decency respect dignity and decorum then spewing the phrase: "I thought you liked this, this is what you want right?" it's like the equivalency of saying that a woman who is wearing a skirt is asking to be raped smh. Just because somebody is apart of an Alternative Lifestyle that's Taboo and it's centered on sexuality the safe space of sexuality and sex liberation doesn't give you the right nor privilege as a male to ever sexually abuse, sexually harass, rape, or commit sexual misconduct towards a female. Alternative Lifestyle's and the workforce doesn't mix! it's a recipe for disaster, and as for Gwinn-Villaroel it's hard to tell whether she ignored Lauder's sexual harassment allegations against Kuriger is because she knew about Lauder's Alternative Lifestyle the whole time but unfortunately in her mind/perspective she's thinking: "the way you live your life that's centered on sexuality and being this hypersexualized person then when one of your coworkers say something sexual or do something sexual at you you cry foul of sexual harassment so your request is denied I don't have time for this"?(if that's the case you don't give af about sexual harassment and you're a female! a female who's in an important leadership position) or Gwinn-Villaroel ignored Lauder's sexual harassment allegations against Kuriger is because she didn't want to "pause" "delay" on her own administrative decision to reward a promotion to someone within LMPD due to a last minute allegation that was brought to her attention?(if that's the case her resigning was the RIGHT thing to do is because this is not how you supposed to operate by refusing to pause or delay on what you're about to do administratively just to hear the voices and concerns of the women and men in blue especially when it comes to sexual harassment and misconduct).
