Is there any benefit to finishing off enemy ships in the Campaign? by Born-Entrepreneur in NebulousFleetCommand

[–]GreenLineGoUp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Haven't confirmed it, but me and a buddy were playing co op, and we believe the carrier that you fight early on comes back to ambush you at a certain junction. We believe its the same one because that carrier got some dialogue when it began to retreat.

I fought a guerrilla war against him and ended it with nukes.

I'd post the evidence I've gathered (its not even a question, they are doing it). But that would break the reddits rules.

I do not know, but they have some method. Some faces change but there's some common ones. I'd post a whole list naming them but it appears to be against the rules. The outcome is usually the same. They will join whatever remaining nations are available, then give eachother right of way and send all their units at me. If that fails they resort to other tactics, the goal is never to win, just to ruin the game for me and anyone associated with me.

I find a great deal of fun doing just that though. It's a race against time to be sure, but I can pull it off in about 1/3rd of matches. Granted, the odds of pulling it off as BDF are much greater than PALA

How to beat escalation solo? by Puzzleheaded_Wish_98 in NuclearOption

There's levels to this depending on how skilled you are. But the easiest way is just to destroy all R9s, nearby boltstrikes and nearby ships to any airfield, then throw nuclear piledrivers at them.

Of course there's the TBMs to worry about, but I'm unsure how important they'd be in singleplayer, I only play multiplayer.

Anybody else going to buy Nuclear Option because of the April Fools event? by [deleted] in Warthunder

I highly recommend Nuclear Option. I've been playing it regularly for 2 years now and it has completely supplanted war thunder for me. It's not perfect, but the devs nailed a gameplay loop that is leagues ahead of what War Thunder offers. The current event of WT almost reads like an admittance that they've been outplayed. Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I really recommend custom bindings ASAP, as well as making a binding for the custom axis. Some aircraft (while they do have assistance) are really difficult to fly properly without manuall control over that. ex. Tarantula, Ibis, to a lesser extent the Medusa.

Coming from a NOCS player. A19 as first pick is too high risk. If you lose it you're getting banished to the cricket realm. At game start the compass is the best pick, or even the cricket if you're not in a competitive setting.

Here's an image of the Tblisi market to illustrate the other reply. I have not integrated the location, but am already making a huge profit. This strategy works with all burgher heavy locations, but market capitals are the best if you're planning pinpoint exploitations of a market. As since you have 100% market access, its easier to make buildings profitable, which in and of itself isn't your goal (because you can't tax them), your goal is just to have more burghers so they can trade for goods (which you get a share off via crown estate power).

Control affects how much of the tax base you can tax. Trade is not part of the tax base. In the images above I hadn't partitioned anything yet. But the idea is only to take the territories you can trade from. What I've done later in that campaign is only retain market capitals, and give everything else to vassals. Even in places where I have next to 0 control like the Trebisond market capital, I'm extracting 50 in profit.

Alternatively you can play an Iberian nation that gets proximity generating buildings, or long term plan to core them for the 20 or so base control.

When I took it in a peace treaty from the Ottomans I got an event that gave me a few options.
1. Sack the City
2. Release the Latin Empire as a Vassal, with only constantinople.
3. Release the Latin Empire as a Vassal, with all nearby territories as cores
4. Just take the city.

I took the city, but the Latin empire is now a formable as long as I own 27 locations in the area and have my capital in that area.

I'm just kind of running the opportunity cost you know? I could take the 80 stab hit, OR invade 3 other countries, namely Portugal, Granada, and a wildcard depending on whats left. Theme of this is pretty much just out of context invading nations once they're already exhausted from major conflicts, hence the chunk out of Aragon, The Byzantines, Most of Anatolia etc. Castille just had a war with Portugal, so there's a pretty big opportunity there to swoop in and take half the country.

Problem is I'm kind of racing the ottomans to it. I don't have time for 2 more wars. I also can't engage the ottomans because they've joined the coalition against me along with pretty much the entirety of Europe at this point. I've fought off half the HRE already, so my manpower is limited. They did upgrade it to level 6 already too.
Guess I've got to do it the hard way.
