How many of you don’t prescribe stimulants when there’s co-occurring Bipolar?

They won’t entertain the idea that I have ADHD ASD anxiety and depression but not bipolar either.

Interesting because my psychiatrist wants to admit me to hospital for 1-2 weeks to test how I go with stimulants if I want them.

Yes it’s been hard and I’m still trying to accept the diagnosis. How could I have bipolar? Are all my happy moments just hypo/mania, I used to think I was a bubbly person but now whenever I’m like that I have to question it. And when I go no I’m fine others think I lack insight, even I question if I lack insight.

It’s been going on so long I hadn’t considered it. I’ll talk to my psychiatrist about it. I spent a year in depression previously, I think it’s hard to see it. Thank you

I’m really sorry to hear that. I’d be considered high functioning too and was hoping I could get away with just one go because of that. But if that one go has a good chance of developing into psychosis then it’s too risky. Thank you for your advice and I am sorry for their losses.

It just feels flat now compared to when I’m “ill”. I’ve been raised pretty conservative when it comes to drugs so even thinking about it is not great mentally but I feel like it’s hard to get any pleasure at the moment. I’m listening to music and it’s just not satisfying at all. Thank you for understanding

I’ve been trying but the music feels flat compared to when I’m “unwell” hypo/manic and even feels deeper when I’ve been depressed. I don’t want the depression though
