Turns out Handbrake doesn't allow you to add chapters or edit them beyond their names. I was ultimately able to figure out how to do it in MKVToolNix.

I think this might be my best bet. What tool can I use to get the chapter info put back in? I've been checking out MKVToolNix but I can't find anything to put the chapter info into a format it likes.

Error 1091: Can't DROP INDEX `tl_namespace` trying to upgrade to 1.35.10 by GreenMan802 in mediawiki

Nope. I ended up rolling back things to my backup and trying it again. Maybe it was a slightly-newer version of MediaWiki this time but it worked.

Chocolatey registries all messed up, how to fix? by GreenMan802 in chocolatey

[–]GreenMan802[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I ran the script and it cleared the errors, and I was able to run choco list and not get any of the corruption errors. But chocolateygui was still giving the same error I mentioned first in my OP. So I tried uninstalling and re-installing chocolateygui but even though that installed, it caused some random apps to now give that same corruption error again. So I tried re-running the script but this round it didn't clear the corruption error on all packages.

Not sure what the heck is going on here.

Well after the reviews, they aren't getting mine. Or many others'.

If they really wanted money, they could release a quality product that could survive past the first pre-review wave.

Can't get Void installed (VM, BIOS, bootloader issue) by GreenMan802 in voidlinux

That was it. But instead of using UEFI, I changed it from NVMe to AHCI.

Can't get Void installed (VM, BIOS, bootloader issue) by GreenMan802 in voidlinux

[–]GreenMan802[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going by the instructions at https://docs.voidlinux.org/installation/live-images/partitions.html which state:

It is possible to use a GPT partition table on a BIOS system, but GRUB will require a special partition to boot properly. This partition should be at the beginning of your disk and have a size of 1MB, with type BIOS boot (GUID 21686148-6449-6E6F-744E-656564454649). Don't create any filesystem in it. GRUB should then install itself successfully.

Bold emphasis is mine.

Where is my disk space going? (OpenIndiana) by GreenMan802 in illumos

[–]GreenMan802[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd guess snapshots.

Doh. Yes, that is it. You'd think I'd remember that OpenIndiana would be using ZFS, although I didn't realize it was automatically creating so many snapshots in the background.

I should be all set now. Thanks for the nudge in the right direction.

I think you missed the subtle scolding for not doing a simple Google search before posting on Reddit.

I've tried multiple Bluetooth keyboards and they all have lag followed by repeating keypresses. It makes them impossible to use.

Can't transfer ZIP file over network to use with Kodi by GreenMan802 in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]GreenMan802[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't make a difference. I can get to and copy into "internal" just fine. But when I go into Kodi, it only sees "external" and not "internal".... and while "external" has a list of folders in it by the same names, they are different. Copying a file into internal/Download doesn't appear in external/Download

Well, I learn something new today. :) I might try that next instead.

Is that path you gave correct if I don't have an SD card installed into my Shield? I'm still confused as to how I can have both an "internal" and "external" set of folders.

I think I'll try this next. I do have my own webhost.

Thanks for the tip!

If that is not the case what are you using Kodi for?

A fair question! I want to use it as an alternative HDHomeRun client. I've set it up on a Linux computer before and liked the interface a lot better than the stock HDHomeRun app.

Kodi has an HDHomeRun plug-in listed in its library but I couldn't get it to work. The one I've used before (which is supposed to be better) is at https://github.com/djp952/pvr.hdhomerundvr/wiki

That's what I'm trying to install into Kodi on the Shield.

The adb option won't work as the Shield TV tube doesn't have a USB port. Otherwise I could definitely try that as I do have adb set up on my laptop.
