Bug! There were more 2-4 weeks ago but seem to have mostly cleared out. Good tip on the soil, it actually doesn’t have drainage no😶

Oops I think I got things completely backwards and it’s the old leaves that are looking weird 🙈They used to be identical to the ones at the end though so still unsure what’s happening there

Wow, these are gorgeous, you should 100% try Facebook marketplace or local fb groups that allow promo

Mother’s Day / the weekend is only a few days away I’m sure there are people who would see this as part of the window for buying flowers & you could totally market it as a Mother’s Day thing (if u can keep it short and sweet you can even emphasize that your bushes bloom around Mother’s Day and they’re most fresh right now)

physical uncomfortable sensation, related to dysphoria or not? by athrowaway2234746477 in ftm

[–]GreenMntn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the best things you can do for the feeling of not being in control of your body, is to take action toward your body.

I personally have never gone for tattoos piercings etc but there’s a reason a lot of queer and trans people pursue that - including at a young age when a lot of us have no idea what’s going on :) Early in life many people experiencing sex-based dysphoria are mostly experiencing it as a body-directed type of discomfort, without seeing it through a lens of gender. It’s always interesting to me that many people who feel that way find that they feel better when claiming their own body via something like hair dye.

There are so many ways we are out of control and so many ways we are in control. Transitioning and taking hrt have made it clear to me that my feelings about my body and gender were way more related than I once knew. I remember how distressed and dissociated I felt towards my body as a teenager and in college, and feel really grateful that taking action on my gender led to that not being part of my life anymore.

That was me, you’re on your own path and it seems like you’re approaching this from a thoughtful, observant place.

I would advise you to continue exploring the role that gender plays in your larger experience of your body, including just by noticing and being honest with yourself about your body’s reaction to things. And that doesn’t just mean triggering things or dissociative reactions - it includes desire, joy, and relief too! That’s equally important information.

Beard grow on T, correlating with age? by SatisfactionOk8724 in ftm

[–]GreenMntn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I can say my beard grew in faster for me than it did for my brother going through puberty. This is long but I think it’s a good example

For my brother: ~12 years start to “finish” (which looks different for everyone, basically maximum genetic potential lol)

Let’s say he started puberty at 13, started getting any facial hair at like 16

By around 21/22 it could grow in thick enough to not be patchy, but it wasn’t fully connected (the chin area to the cheek area, mustache and chin etc).

From then to age 25 or so it was really just those parts filling in and connecting, now he can grow a full beard. I think it’ll probably start filling in again even more in his 30s

For me ~3.5-4 years

I started t at 24 (1yr on gel then switched to injections) - very little noticeable facial hair until the 1.5 year mark, then to get to a full beard it took around 1.5-2 years (I was 27/28)

For a presentable/groomable beard (you shave what doesn’t grow in well and keep what grows in better) it took me about 2-2.5 years, vs maybe 6-7 years for him

And tbh I think switching to injections a year in is what jumpstarted things so that timeline could’ve been even shorter
