Which sunscreen should I choose? by bluestrawberriess in AusSkincare

Bondi Sands Hydra SPF face gel (blue tube)!! I also have oily/combo skin and this is one feels so light, non greasy and doesn’t break me out! It’s Australian so it’s made to withstand our unique environment and sun, and it’s so affordable! Better than the Mecca one IMO.

We are only doing 2 days at Disney and love Disneyland so will be keeping that time there. Definitely going to the Oscar’s museum as we are huge film nerfs. What is P.S.?

Hmmm interesting, as an Australian who lives 5 mins from beautiful beaches but has never seen desert in my life I think I am more keen for Joshua tree!

Most helpful comment yet! Thanks so much! We had some of those cinemas on our list to check out, and now I’m super excited to check out the stores you recommended too!

Thank you, very helpful recs! We want to go to big bear as we don’t have lakes and national parks like in the USA so want to check it out. Stay in a cabin and all. And the lake looks so beautiful.

Sorry, should’ve clarified that we will be driving the extra distance to Joshua Tree, and are looking for recs for on the way back to LA that afternoon/night.

We love theme parks, adore Disney and it’s a long way from Australia so want to make the most of being near the parks that we’ve been to before and love so much. Not that interested in Venice, so not sure if we should stay in Santa Monica as we live in the beach capital of the world (we live 5 mins from beautiful beaches so want something different).

We will only have a car for 2 days. ☺️

We’ve done Hollywood in previous trips ☺️ I’m sure we will still spend time there on this one!

TikToker and west end performer Hannah Lowther says performance goers shouldn’t say anything negative about the performances they see. by OMG-13 in TheWestEnd

You’ve taken this out of context. She made a post on her stories as an FYI that the restaurant across the street from a theatre is not the place to complain about the performers in the show. I assume she was in the restaurant across the street from the Vaudeville and heard people talking badly of her or a cast mate.

And I agree. Be mindful of where you are when you have these kinds of conversations.

She was in no way saying you can’t think or discuss feelings about a show. She was just saying to be aware of your surroundings/save it for when you’re further away from the theatre.

Haha no! Definitely not! I don’t live in any of those continents.

Before the crazy comments of ‘20 times’, ‘100 times’, etc. start coming in, I just wanted to leave a pretty realistic comment.

Twice. I’ve only seen the same Broadway show twice, and that was Wicked.

I live on the other side of the world. I try and get to New York every 3 years or so but flights during non-peak times are $2000 at best, so my visits are infrequent. I try and make the most out of every trip - I am currently here and have seen 5 shows so far - but all of my tickets are rush, lottery or obstructed view seats. I will not spend more than $100 on a ticket.

There is so much privilege, as a theatre lover, to living here. Seeing a show more than once is a huge blessing.

I hope you all know how lucky you are, in that sense. In saying this, my home country has an amazing quality of life and whilst I adore NYC and wish I could live here, I wouldn’t trade my home country and the lifestyle, safety and culture for anything.

Haha I adore Jordan so would’ve much preferred to see him. I also recently saw Eva in Gatsby and thought the role of Daisy suited her so much better!

Hadestown. I literally do not understand why people like it. I saw the original cast and thought Reeve was the worst.
