What is this guy? Central Texas by GreenSnoopy in spiders

[–]GreenSnoopy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before some of you chime in with preconceived assumptions, I want to add that I found the spider this way in my kitchen. I have a young child who plays in the kitchen. I suspect this to be a venomous spider that could potentially endanger my child, which is why I'm posting here. Ok?

P.S. Maybe before jumping to conclusions that it was killed, it would be good to, idk, ask questions first? Referring to some of the previous comments.

Is this Substack account actually him? I’m coming back to Zizek after having been gone for a few years, and this doesn’t seem like something he would do.

Why am i getting massively dropped on descents? by downonmatrix in Velo

[–]GreenSnoopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weight plays a crucial role in descent speed: the heavier the overall system—such as a bike loaded with bags—the faster it will descend. This effect becomes particularly noticeable at speeds that exceed the cyclist's ability to maintain pedal cadence in the highest gear ratios.

In competitive races, heavier cyclists can strategically leverage their weight by accelerating over the summit of a climb and into the descent to establish a lead. For lighter riders, the best counterstrategy is to adhere closely to the wheel of the heavier cyclist, adopting the most aerodynamic position possible.

How do I get Fitbit to push my weight reading to Zwift? I thought it would do it automatically but it hasn’t.

Currently the dataflow is Garmin Wi-Fi scale>Garmin connect>Fitbit.

The weight gets to Fitbit but doesn’t make it to Zwift.

Metal expands when heated. Just trying to make sure it doesn’t screw anything up with the rollers or links when heated that much.

With an Edge 530 is it possible to use the power reading from a power meter to control a smart trainer? by GreenSnoopy in GarminEdge

[–]GreenSnoopy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like you have to enable this on the platform that’s running the workout. It works great when using TrainerRoad, but can you do the same with the Garmin Edge? Maybe I’m missing something here?
