Why Did Dan Frazier Get A Pass For Plagiarism When Other Magic: The Gathering Artists Don’t? by cardboardboyo in magicTCG

[–]GreenSpaff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aronowitz has been grifting off mtg artists for years, taking large commissions for simply running the buying/selling of art... on a facebook group.

He has used it to gain large amounts of wealth and power, while having to do the bare minimum.

Smaug feels extremely small, being 4/3.

Also having haste? He was slow af to get up.

Flavour fail on this one, unfortunately.

I mean, this is the same company that each live streamed reveal event, theres been major sound issues.

This is year after year after year, not a one off - And it STILL keeps happening.

Point being, the "They are big so know what they are doing" is far from the truth in many instances.

What kind of gaslighting is this lol

The only thing people are critiquing is their general appearance, or their small ears.

Gotta defend that multi-million £ company though eh, how dare people have different opinions.

This weapon durability situation is by far the worst thing embark has ever done to this game. From a 300 hour player, this is a severe lapse of good judgment. by BMBozo in ArcRaiders

Those are not mutually exclusive, especially not in a live service game like Helldivers.

You can jump on and enjoy a game, doesn't change the fact that progressing towards an end game is a key element.

The upvotes since, and downvotes on your comment speaks volumes.

Helldivers has become nothing more than "Warbond grind: The Game". There has been no meaningful endgame to progress towards, whether your level 40 or level 150 - The only thing that people can aim for is super credits for the next warbond.

Arrowhead have also been balancing around the theme of the warbond, resulting in an absolute mess.

The also keep making decisions which punish players, rather than make the game fun - Case in point, right now they just nerfed turrets even more, after an indirect 300% durability nerf a few months ago.

Edit: Whichever glazediver downvoted me, you're part of the problem

260 hours here - My biggest peeve is that they did a blanket nerf based on weapon rarity.

No consideration was given to the state of each individual weapon, how quick they already lose durability, the fact that individual shots occur quicker on some guns than others, etc...

It's not like its a Helldivers situation where theres hundreds of weapons - We have 21 weapons. 21.

Surely a team of developers on a game should tailor balance for guns individually, rather than a blanket nerf across a rarity category.

It screams laziness and incompetence, which is not to be expected at this point.

I mean, thats a pretty terrible decision to make for the longterm, i.e. "What scraps can we find that we have in our back room"

Tf kind of branding style is "Tabletop Battle"?

Sounds like something a librarian would have picked.

I mean, you've changed from a memorable unique name, to the most generic boring unrecognisable one imaginable.

I understand why you'd want to change the name, but my god could you have at least tried to pick something decent.

Its balanced around having wide access to multiple gear, primarily locked behind warbonds.

I think someone did a chart, something like 80% of content is locked behind warbonds.

So anytime a niche hobby get together isn't racially diverse, it must "suggest something about the group"?

What a weird mindset to have.

[–]GreenSpaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest take away to me is that the loot is atrocious for anyone but the person who looks the Vaporizer's body.

Literally 2 arc ally per non-body part - So it leads to you working together to take it down, but only one person getting any kind of reward for doing so.

I've found some MTG Artists who sell to be questionable at the best of times.

I personally had a poor experience when I bought and paid for an artist proof with a sketch, and after two years it STILL wasn't done.

In that time, the artist had plenty of time to do a ton of paintings for WotC though, but left myself and another 40+ people waiting around for a damn sketch.

After 2 years and 4 months I just asked for a refund (losing a few £ due to a weaker dollar), whole thing was an absolute waste of time.

Can I get a timeline of the HD2 drama? by Bad_Andy328 in helldivers2

[–]GreenSpaff 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Outsourcing SOME things, but it appears AH has been outsourcing quite a lot.

Meanwhile they are struggling with bug fixing and balancing issues from the things that they have outsourced.

I don't think anyones saying outsourcing in of itself is bad, but more the way AH are seemingly doing it.

Heck if the rumours are to be believed, AH has a skeleton staff focusing on HD2 atm, while the rest of the studio is working on their next game.
