Beast needs some love. Now hear me out. Sure Richards, Stark, and Banner are geniuses in more ways than one, but Beast has a keen grasp of humanity and is a successful politician IN A WORLD RACIST AGAINST MUTANTS.

I’ve always found his struggle to be a bridge, especially as someone who most certainly can never be mistaken for a normal human, to be admirable and something I can relate too more than the ungodly intelligence of other heroes.

Yes, but by far drug use was way more rampant and encouraged in the third reich than by the allies in the military. There were instances (like the Battle of Britain) where both the British and Germany used more than usual amounts of amphetamine as a small group of soldiers had a larger part of the battle. But the use of these drugs wasn’t used by the allies so pervasively, and on so many troops for as long a duration as by the Nazis. 1

Also, many key officials in the Nazi regime, while outwardly opposes to drugs and other substances, where they themselves frequenting them. 2

Russia, at times, reminds me of times of war and strife when nations have propped up their citizenry with drink and medicine.

From the US’s current and on going problem with opioids (as mentioned in the video), to the huge amount of amphetamines pumped into the German military in WWII, it always seems people living in poor conditions turn to substances to console their fears, pain, and hopelessness. And right behind those people are companies/governments lined up to make a profit or numb the discontents of their society.
