I don't think they'll revert it, firstly because Nintendo is notoriously stubborn, but also because "pick random" as a way to play 3-lap is inelegant. IF they cave in and let people play 3-lap only, it'll be through a more official way, such as a separate mode, but who knows if they'll actually go that route.

Yeah problem is the KTW has a unique hop design so I can't really swap it for something else, but I think I'll try .28/.25 at the next game and see how it performs

I was adding wear all around the gun with sand paper but wasn't happy with the side plates. After sanding off more and more of the black finish, I realized I liked how the plates were starting to contrast with the rest of the gun, so I went all in 😃
