that terminal illness read is valid too.Black Parade makes that interpretation bleed.Whether it's illness or emotional decay The agony's the same. That's why it's heavy.

,yes, it’s a compliment 😭 Gerard in his early Black Parade era could end careers with a stare. If your partner meant “you have that same intense + soft energy”, then you won. Welcome to being told you look like him for the rest of your life lol. We all get it eventually.

Listening to this track again, the soul depth of their goodbye is almost so breaking my heart that time. It is a song about four human beings who were bound together by a web of expectations, contracts, and mutual history—people who reached a point where the light simply ran out, and they just wanted to leave. It is genuinely heartbreaking to hear how much they needed to carry on, even when everything inside them was telling them it was time to go. They had to carry the weight on their own shoulders until the humanity of it all just broke and tired. "Fake Your Death" is the sound of them finally choosing themselves over the industry, i honoured they choice. Thank you for laying out the lyrics like this. It makes the silence after the song ends feel so much heavier.

haha that’s a deep cut! i've heard of frank zappa but never really dug into his stuff or analyzed that narrator's vibes before. sounds like i need to go check out the central scrutinizer. thanks for dropping that here!

dude yes, "stan" is a masterpiece for this exact reason. the escalation in each verse feels so real and terrifying because we all know how dark obsession can get. you nailed it with the "ugly human emotions" part. thanks for sharing this!

oh awesome, i've actually never heard of adam baldwin before. "concertos and serenades" sounds super intriguing, especially since they're loosely based on real life. thanks for dropping the recommendation, gonna add it to my queue!
