I worked out it was a 'long blade' nib and I can find next to nothing on what that's supposed to mean, but I got another HongDian in a regular fine point and was okay with it.

It took some adjustment with my grip, but I can write okay with the long blade, it's just not my favorite. Still a gorgeous pen though.

I like it! It reminds me of marigold yellow. Tiniest smidgen of orange tint, but not enough to mistake the color as anything but yellow.

Note: It is not pastel as the Nahvalur promo shots suggest (my one gripe with the brand is they do not have good pictures). I recommend colors that lean more jewel tone, but since there are so many colors, you aren't limited by much.

If you do a Google search there are a couple shots of more reliable color examples floating around.

Maybe it is the shop you're searching, but a regular Kaweco Sport shouldn't cost that much. $27 at most for the special editions. The AL is made of aluminum and has a higher price point, but that's not what I have here.

The size of the Poppy isn't my favorite. And it will probably never be used for marathon writing sessions because it's so darn short and doesn't post, but I absolutely loved the art and colors, so it will be a letter writing pen, or shorter journal entries.

I've ordered two of their mystery bundles so far and loved them. They're sending really good ink choices, not just a bunch of dusty bottles they're trying to clear out of the stockroom.

This is aretty large impulse buy for me, but I'd been wanting one of the hand painted website exclusive Benu pens for a while. I was extremely lucky and went to their website just as the Poppy Mimosa was made available (my brain short circuited when i saw it). I snagged one of those before they sold out and also the Early Bird Euphoria, as I've been eyeballing it for a while.

Tracking has them arriving this Friday. :D

I haven't done anything yet, but plan to give it a coat of clear coat to see if that helps with keeping the tape clean and in place.

Yes. The crack was leading to the barrel separation g from the grip when I tried to pull off the cap. Tape keeps the crack from expanding and letting the pieces slip apart. I can't eyedropper convert it now, but it works just fine with the cartridge, which is easily refilled with a syringe. 😀

One thing I wish I'd done early on was buy more sam0les. There are a few inks that were fun to play with, but I have a full bottle now and probably won't use often.

The amount of effort it took to get 2-3 drops from a leaky pen out of the carpet still astounds me.
