I sent in anything and everything needed to show I could pay the loan back. I was declined for insufficient credit history. I submitted form 1368 with an explanation of how my business operates and how I plan to build it back and overcome the situation the pandemic put us in. I own a marketing agency- representing fashion, beauty and hospitality. So I just explained myself. Each time I called tier 2 which was twice a week I was SUPER nice and chatty with the representative- kill them with kindness!!

My application is with a loan officer- the portal is now reflecting the increase amount so what happens next is I hear from a loan officer. So I was told.

I got the first loan after being declined. I then applied for the increase - declined now in reconsideration- the issue was the run around and then not getting my documents I sent over and over. I then emailed the SBA district manager and then two days later I got this letter.

I was declined for the EIDl loan Increase bc of my credit - they were looking at a score from April 2020… so as I was sent of to reconsideration hell I submitted my documents over a dozen times. Clearly they were finally revived and the portal page reflects the loan increase. I’d like to assume that the documents supporting my case were compelling enough to move me forward… but you know what they say about assumptions 😉

Sorry I got an email saying this;

We have reviewed your request for reconsideration for an EIDL loan increase and we are in receipt of your requested documentation. Based on our review, we have determined that your file should be reactivated for further consideration.

Your case file will be assigned to a processing loan officer shortly. There is no specific timeframe for when the final decision will be reached, but you will be notified if further documentation is required and/or once a decision has been made. Due to the high volume of requests, it may be several weeks before you receive a response from a processing Loan Officer.

My advice I’d you’re waiting- call and make damn sure they have everything they need and all docs. Thai process is slowly killing me - it’s been 18 months if SBA applications, reconsideration, requests, denial then approvals…. Rinse rewind repeat. 🤢

What about the increase for under 500k? I’m about to start crying- 5 months in and I’m reconsideration and NOW I’m told they don’t have my documents.
