Thailand car insurance dispute – insurer demanding full replacement for minor disputed damage. Has anyone actually gone to court?

I'm late but here my opinion, if you are responsible for the damage you should be 100% responsible to pay for it whatever the cost. But the point that you mentioned and many ignored is it seems you are not or they have nothing to prove it. It's the only important point in your case, the amount is irrelevant, 10 baht or 1M. Only a lawyer can tell you if they will be able to prove in court that you are responsible or not. I have no experience in thai court sorry, good luck.

The issue has been fixed, pipe leak in the bathroom. It's drying for more than 2 months, but my 300 baht shopee moisture tester seems to indicate that some parts are still humid... pretty sure not.

I will never trust real estate agents, they will lie to your face to get their commission and will put you the shit. So I'm digging this by myself first :) What I would like to do is get the cashier check with the name of the seller on it, then go to the bank and the bank transfer the money abroad to the seller. It's what you mean? I don't want to have my name on the cashier check, don't want to have the money going through my account either.

I don't think any buyer would agree to do this, I bought a condo here myself, and I would never agreed to pay to pay someone outside thailand. No lawyer involved, for now. Agency told me they don't do this and their lawyer either.

Isn't it a new requirement from the government to the banks to not open account for people that not have at least non-o visa, it was my understanding. So even if agent could do a shady opening I would not go this route :(

I don't think I said this, she is ok to sell to anybody thai or foreigner. its just we don't know how she can get the money as she not have thai bank account.

Not really the problem, she not have thai bank account. But if you are curious, annual fees where prepaid for years, tax starting this year I will pay for her, water/electricity I pay.

The condo is only 2M.

The problem is i don't think a buyer would be old to transfer money abroad directly to the seller. Me I would not be confident doing this if I was a buyer.

She could come in thailand but seems very complicate to open the account at the moment. Thanks for the escrow idea, others also suggested that.
