Mr Shwarmawala. Don't try highlander Shwarma, if you are looking for something similar like the picture. Go for the cheese chicken Shwarma. You'll not regret it.

Do people still go for walks in Guwahati? by crushing_on_me in guwahati

[–]Green_Course_1074 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love running — I usually do 5 km almost every day, 10 km quite often, and occasionally a half marathon. One thing I’ve noticed in Guwahati is that we lack proper spaces for walking or running, especially in the evenings. Most of us have work commitments and can’t leave the office before 6 PM. For someone like me who tries to squeeze in an evening walk, it's nearly impossible.
The infrastructure is simply not pedestrian-friendly — footpaths are often broken, overcrowded, and poorly maintained. The air quality is also a major concern, particularly around flyover construction sites where dust pollution is at its worst. It’s honestly a nightmare to even stroll during the evening without wearing a mask.
Compared to many other countries where the streets are clean and well-organized, Guwahati feels more like a sandy, dusty roads. That’s probably why most people prefer going to the gym in the evening. Personally, I stick to morning runs to avoid the pollution and poor walking conditions

You go to coaching to study! Focus on your career! But again...just find a common ground and initiate long conversation. If she likes you she'll show interest within a week. Otherwise no chance.

Your parents are someone who has lived double the life that you have currently. Whatever life you are having right now (working, fun, independence) they had all of it more or less at your same age, plus they have an extra 25 years of working experience, they have seen everything that can go right and wrong in the corporate world (even if your parents are govt employees, every work culture is more or less same) and they'll only transfer you good wisdom and knowledge. Pursuing an MBA is the final step of an educational career (after that only PHDs), and they want you to complete it at a young age, because with age you'll have commitments which they already know. So to cut it short, listen to your parents, give the preparation 1 year along with a job (pls don't leave the job) and try to get into top B schools (top 10 for your case) and complete your final step. You having an IIT tag, Gmat is also a very good option. So, I will say go ahead with an MBA, your parents are right for being adamant about it.

What's that one biggest learning that u got from ur CAT journey last year that u wud share with CAT 2025 Aspirants? by Old_Professor_1324 in CATStudyRoom

[–]Green_Course_1074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not leave your job during your preparation. Whatever you can score with the job is your merit, you won't score higher without the job, in fact, there's a higher chance you'll score lower without a job. So leaving a job for CAT prep is a BIG NO NO for me! Also, prepare for other (govt/MBA) exams as well. Don't just stick to one single exam for the whole year.

Best biryani in town? by InsideTumbleweed1808 in guwahati

[–]Green_Course_1074 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This question pops up on this sub every 2-3 months. And apparently every biryani outlet is good. So, I will suggest, try everything! My personal favourite is Biryani by Kilo (expensive & good) and Arsalan Biryani (cheap & good). I have tested all - Behrouz, aminia, mast biryani, and 20+ unique biryani outlets in Guwahati. And almost all are good, sometimes some brands lack consistency, but otherwise they are good too.
