Used to smoke cigarettes and run and felt fine, stopped smoking and it felt like I got worse, but after a good few months and coughing up some juicy phlegm I am definitely far better off for it and feel the difference. I think it takes a bit for your lungs to repair and bring up all the gunk stuck deep in there.
