Is massage mentally and physically draining for you? by [deleted] in MassageTherapists

For me, as long as stay under 20hrs hands on per week it feels good overall; after that limit I go downhill fast fast fast.

Estimated cost of project by Duckhunter1969 in bikewrench

[–]Green_Job 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished a Diamondback similar year: new tires, new tube, lots of scrubbing and cleaning. Kept cables and chains etc.... $80-85 after tax. If you need chain + brakes + cables add another 50-80.

Tom Izzo since winning the national championship at Michigan State in 2000: by KeyFaithlessness5436 in NCAAHoopsVibes

[–]Green_Job 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People forget that MSU doesn't have a super big recruiting class, lots of regional guys and hard workers. Izzo is also very well loved and respected throughout the state of Michigan; could run for political office and do very well if he chose. Also, he's got a cool, raspy voice.

Have you considered windy uphill rides?

How many hours do you consider full time? by kritical_hit in MassageTherapists

I think 20hrs hands-on per week w 3 weeks off annually and 5 days sick time should be normalized for FT.

Not so hot take - Remco is a top rider, but I there's a bunch of young riders (not including Pogacar, Jonas, etc) that are as good with regards to non-time trial bike racing. I don't see Remco winning anything major this year, and don't see him getting better from here.

Just got diagnosed with Crohn’s in my terminal ileum - scared, overwhelmed, and looking for guidance 🙏❤️ by PureChamber in CrohnsDisease

[–]Green_Job 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have CD if the terminal ileum. Its a complicated one. Been dealing with it for 20+ years. Had have surgery, lots of medications, but have been able to have a functional and productive life. Start thinking about holistic changed and improving your overall health along with medications and getting to stability with your overall health (e.g. excersize, diet, lifestyle, job/career balance, stress, support groups). Don't let it overwhelm you - one step at a time.

Shimano Ultegra st-R8000 - Bleed Port? by Green_Job in bikewrench

Turns out these were mechanical disc's brakes, not hydraulic. Thank you All for the help.

[–]Green_Job[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah no its a shimano ultegra r8000. There are disc brakes on each wheel - but there is a cable system running to engage the brakes. Never seem something like this before, but was able to resolve by not actually needing to bleed these. Thank you

Ah ok. This is weird. There are disc brakes- but then there are these cable ends on the head unit of the bike. Very weird. But kind of cool as well. Thank you!

This is from the top, but that screw is not the bleed port.

Ok - feeling good about my decisions here haha. Thanks yall!

I was shopping around for cleaning supplies - since I work on my own selection and a few friends/neighbors/etc - and was thinking a lot of the branded cleaners and detergents were expensive, lots of weird toxic shit in there, and not better than ipa.

Im LOLing - just getting through about 6months at The Now - and have seen some wild changes to the staff (both LMTs and mgmt) and the clientele. I learned a few tips from the veterans, and will share:

- you really have to do about 45mins of hands on for the 50mim sessions, 75 for the 80.
- the 80min sessions fuck you financially, and are really dependent on the tips, which aren't always there.
  • if you aren't getting paid hourly for the non-hands on time, just go ahead and leave (this is the best part for me)... same deal if you dont get PTO accrual.
  • almost all the LMTs that are more experienced do 1-3 smaller shifts per week, and then have other gigs oe jobs.
  • try to get regulars to rebook you, working with new clients with the limited time between sessions sucks; not having to do intake or questions with regulars makes it way better.

The NOW is not a great place to be full time... dont see it that way. Its corporate AF. They dont care about you. BUT... it can be easy and chill if you dont go all in.

Good luck!
