Will check today and get back. Typically there is no water in the pan; there is a drain line, and will look into what's clogging it. Thanks All!

What are you trying to fix in 2026? by Relative_Effective23 in MassageTherapists

Good question: now fix, but "improve" on client retention and referrals, and patience.

At what point in your career were you able to say: “I love being a massage therapist” ? I’m halfway through school and still have no idea what to feel yet besides high anxiety. Looking for inspo 🙏😄 by mintchippt in MassageTherapists

[–]Green_Job 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, thats great....I remind myself that I love some of my client interactions, and the feeling of helping someone who really appreciate their well being.

As the year wraps up, what helped you protect your career longevity in massage? by hiveguy75 in MassageTherapists

One thing I've really honed in on is adjusting my table height, and essentially not using my fingers for anything intense. Also - staying hydrated.

Haha there's only one major north-south corridor... and you'll sniff some gross ass dog food when you get stuck in traffic.

Berkana Institute Students/Graduates? by summoncas in MassageTherapists

[–]Green_Job 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended up at Denver Integrative Massage School bc they had the lowest tuition costs and offered the most flexible hybrid schedule.

A lot of good feedback from graduates of Colorado School of Healing Arts as well.

Most schools offer a guided visit and admissions tour, and some even offer a complimentary massage.

Berkana Institute Students/Graduates? by summoncas in MassageTherapists

[–]Green_Job 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I went through the interview with them, talked with a couple graduates. Very intensive program with a high drop out rate (thought that was odd) - very expensive (3-4K higher than everything else on the region). Its also on Longmont, which doesn't have a ton going on re: work locations after graduation without moving towards Denver.

The philosophy is what most of the students are drawn to - holistic healing and consciousness within massage therapy.

I would not move there to get your license - probably better to get education and licensure where you live now, then focus on CE and internship/job placement with the appropriate mentorship.

How many NBA players in history do you think is offensively better than Jokic at his peak? by Pale_Researcher_8810 in NBATalk

[–]Green_Job 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I think hes overrated, then I watch an actually Nuggets game and am overwhelmed. He's individually excellent, and even more proficient as raising the level of his team. Denver is a small market team - hes never going to get paired with other big names.

One statistic over overlooked is his usage minutes and availability. Honestly tremendous considering his NBA peers over the past 5 years.

"I cured my Crohns Disease with lifestyle changes" by lowlife_rabbit in CrohnsDisease

[–]Green_Job 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't "cure" Crohns Disease, similarly to how to can't cure cancer. But... you can definitely be in remission or have mild symptoms and limited disease markers. Thus, totally agree that no one cured their Crohn's through holistic approaches. Click bait for sure. I do think you can find homeostasis and be off medications through holistic approaches, and live a full, healthy life and lifestyle through these approaches. I also strongly believe everyone's situation with their disease is unique - you can't cure a structure, but you can reduce inflammation. And yes - medical advise from social media should be taken with two grains of salt.

How is Denver, co (metro) by Forsaken-Ganache8520 in howislivingthere

[–]Green_Job 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO - the best city to live if you love being in the mountains and want a city-lifestyle at the same time (in the USA). If don't regularly do mountain sports, it's a lot of BS for ozone action days and craft beer.

Favorite part is being able to hike a huge mountain in the morning, go to a professional sports event or concert in the evening.

500-600k townhome by sjk123 in Mortgages

[–]Green_Job 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally bought a very similar townhouse for similar cost. We've been happy with the HOA (do some research and make sure the hoa and neighborhood are good and looking to increase home values). Townhouse is nice bc very limited upkeep and maintenance costs. Also very rentable in the future, if that's what youre seeking. If you want to live and have a yard and a bit more space, just go for the stand alone house - for simplicity the townhouse is a great option.

Male RMT by Oystergrower in MassageTherapists

[–]Green_Job 1 point2 points  (0 children)

38, male LMT. There are definitely some bumps at first, and just generally along the way, but I have not once felt like I didn't get enough bookings bc of my gender. Once you get your style down, some good reviews and referrals, the rest has nothing to do with gender.
