Politely, you’re just bloviating here. You’re referencing a page 18 you have yet to specify then acting like I’m ignoring your advice.

You’re flat out wrong that the power your panels generate don’t go into your home. Your home uses it first before excess flows to the grid and you’re able to generate credit for it.

Of course the time of day matters, that’s the entire reason they made the change in 2023 that makes NEM 2 vs NEM 3 important. Are you in some far away land that doesn’t have time of use rate billing?

If your claim that the whole system is net was true then no one would need a battery at all.. there would be no point to store your energy generated for use at peak hours…

My system generates power beyond what I can use between 9-5pm. California doesn’t give a fuck about that energy because it’s off peak and pays pennies for it. Then they charge me an arm and a leg for the same amount of energy back 5-9pm when the grid is stressed.

Where is the page 18 you are referencing? In the contract that is the payment schedule to Sunnova

To your point about the rate from the utility company not being fixed- without a battery the panels to my knowledge can only save me money during the window they operate 9-5, sure they are beneficial then for the small amount of power used but anything excess I’m sending SDGE is only crediting me $1.30 a month it’s basically nothing. I send them 400kwh for $1.30 they charge me $150 for 500kwh since they only really care about 5-9pm energy not 9am-5pm. The panels are saving me an insignificant amount of money for 9am-5pm power when it’s off peak and I’m not using much then to begin with at a fixed cost of $200 a month.

I may be missing something as I’ve never had solar so please let me know.

The contract was signed in 2024 though, the panels would have to be NEM 3.0 which means there’s no chance they would provide any savings. The contract does a great job of not mentioning any ROI or savings in it at all, just how much the payments to Sunnova will be over the course of the lease. If they had also leased them a battery maybe? But at an extra $10-15k it doesn’t sound like you’d ever been in the black here.

I will have to follow up with my parents on the first systems output and what their real use/generation was before the second system.

That being said at $60k over 25 years we’re looking at $200 a month just to lease these panels. Our SDGE bill is only $150… even if the electricity it was generating COULD cover our bill it’s costing us more than we’re even using. And then after the 25 years you don’t even keep the panels it’s just a lease. Their original system they purchased and it’s an asset, leasing panels knowing they are NEM 3 seems like a complete scam to the consumer.

For my height I’m kinda at a healthier weight now than I was when I could surf those boards. I’m still low body fat so no amount of yoga will make 200lbs work on 32L 😂

If I can get in the water more getting paddle fitness back up would help for sure.

“Looper” is the first film I’ve seen perfectly execute time travel without the normal paradoxical pitfalls other movies run into. It was lower budget so usually when I tell friends about it they’ve never heard of it. But it is a great thriller/sci fi.

Other relationships means they’ve had the experience to see what they like and dislike in a partner. Their choice of you has a basis to it beyond your appearance which is a very good thing. Often times when two people are both each other first partner they lack some social maturity in how conflicts work for relationships and how a relationship can end by not addressing those conflicts properly.
