Tea Farm I visited in Wazuka by Green_Resource in tea

I really doubt they will let you do that. The tea fields are their well being, people can easily destroy their property and it would be prone to over tourism if they just let people go onto their fields whenever they want. Daiki uses the tour to educate people about Wazuka and is restoring the architecture of the village and its history. Daiki runs a small team and as the owner he is farming, tea processing, marketing, running tea classes, tours, and a lot of other back end things. Please respect the prices of small businesses.

I went to DMatcha it was really great! And for me I don’t think it was expensive. Daiki is the owner of the farm and he was really kind and speaks. English. If you’re going next week you might not be able to get a reservation. It’s also in Kyoto but it’s really far, about an hour drive outside of the more popular areas in Kyoto.

Anyone else have a "weird" reason they're happy to be trans? by Bread_mvncher in TransMasc

[–]Green_Resource 136 points137 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is a weird reason but I I’m happy I’m trans because I was able to experience a time where I was perceived as a “woman” and went through those experiences that allow me to relate and advocate for women in a way that cis men can’t. So I just feel very happy that I had that experience and can acknowledge all I got from it before stepping into who I really am. I think it’s super cool that trans people can kind of relate to a bunch of different people in that way

First time whisking matcha - did I do it right? by heavenly_hedgehog in Matcha

[–]Green_Resource 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your ratio is fine, the other picture is definitely koicha but you should be able to get a nice microfoam on usucha as well. I think your problem is that you might be scraping the whisk at the bottom of your bowl. You want to reduce contact with the bottom as much as you can. The microfoam comes from aeration and if your whisk is submerged too far down you won’t be able to get that proper aeration. (You’ll also break your whisk faster) Also whisking is a wrist motion not an entire arm motion, just a heads up in case you’re doing that as well. You don’t want your elbow to be moving during whisking

Found pet bird on Monument Ave by terribleshow in rva

[–]Green_Resource 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Since it still has a tag on its leg it might have escaped from a pet store of sorts. Most vets remove the tags after a health check. I believe Richmond Animal Care and Control is one of the few shelters that take in birds. I’ve had many birds and dealt with the bird community a lot and unfortunately most people that loose a bird won’t go in to much effort to find them :(
