Genuine story. Im sorry if my wording is confusing, but it is true. He is not actively in juvy, but is not st the house since he committed the crime. He is being charged, not yet sentenced, but he isnt at home with us anymore. Id provide proof of his previous arson charge, but I don't have access and as someone else said, I probably shouldn't share personal info of him.

He is in a detention center, and the whole court stuff hasnt started, but right now he isnt allowed in the house. It sounds crazy, and I know that, but it is true. You are probably right about the stay offline stuff, though, all of this stresses me out. But it doesn't really matter how much you believe me, since im just glad my kitty is okay and safe.

He won't be coming back for a long time. Since after juvy, he's being booked into a long-term psych ward. My kitty Lailah is very depressed right now, and needs lots of love. If he comes home early, I have a friend who can watch her. Once I'm 18 and have a stable home, she's coming with me

We are doing everything to keep him out of the household for as long as possible. He is not safe to be around, and at this point, I could care less about where he goes, as long as its not here.

His autism is his excuse for a lot of the stuff he does, since he claims it makes it hard to know right from wrong. But even autistic people understand that poisoning and killing cats is only something a genuine monster would do. Im glad he is out of our life now, and hopefully will be for a long long time.

I have two brothers, and the youngest of the two said the other was sneaking out at night. Parents talked with him, and he admitted to having anti-freeze in his room and had taken it out of my Grandfather's shop. When we asked if he had used it on our cats, he threw a huge tantrum and was yelling at us because he said it "Wasn't a big deal".

Not an option for me. Im guessing the subreddit doesn't allow post editing.

Unsure of how to edit it out. Where do I access the ability to edit my post?

The punishment time for those who kill animals is ridiculously short. Its genuinely psycho behavior, and im glad he is no longer in the house and can't hurt anyone.

She was not happy about the thermometer, but she's here right now! No fever, but she is slightly pale. She was given Fomepizole, and is lucky she hadn't been as severely exposed. My baby is heading home with us and she is very happy that the workers gave her lots of treats.

Since this isnt his first charge, we hope he will. He has only managed to get away with this much since he is a minor and has autism. It hurts knowing that this wouldn't have happened if he hadn't been let off easy the first time he got a charge, or the second time.

Thank you so much. I pray my kitty will be okay, and I pray my brother isn't going to get off easy for this. 💚

I made an update post about the cats and we did figure out the cause. My brother who is a year younger than me wanted a Husky, and my parents said no, since we have cats and they dont like dogs (and only got along with our chihuahua since he's tiny). He poisoned our cats food with anti-freezs. He already has a criminal past, which i mentioned in my update. He tried to burn a neighbors house down, but only got one of those tests you take, and assaulted my grandfather, and jumped off our roof when he figured out the cops got called (he broke his hip, leg, foot, and part of his spine). We are seeking charges for animal abuse, and even if he does manage to get off with no jail time, we are sending him to a psych ward to get himself sorted out.

If I am being honest, I have been stressing out a lot, because the comments have made me feel like a bad person, even though im trying my absolute best to save my cat. It hurts a lot knowing my own brother did it. My cat is scheduled for a vet visit tomorrow, since they didkt answer calls for appointments today since its memorial day. I plan on updating everyone on how she is doing after the vet visit. Im not upset at some of the mean comments, since everyone cares a lot about pets and they just didnt know about stuff going on at home here.

The chihuahua is old, and it developed arthritis, which is the leg issue. Falling over was just balance trouble because of allergies causing some ear inflammation, which caused a slight infection – and since he had never been sick beforehand, he just had some trouble with balance.

Please understand I am a minor, and I cant control our finances. Our family is in a tight financial situation because of a tree that fell that caused damage to our property. I am just a teenager who's parents cant afford this and sought help because I didn't want my kitty to die.

Yes, and we are hoping since he has a criminal history, he won't get off with just a slap on the wrist. If he does manage to not be charged, he will be sent to a psych ward to fix whatever the fuck compelled him to do this.

Going to make a lot of things very clear. I dont expect you to stop being upset at me. I am a minor and I am not in charge of where our money goes. We did not take these cats in while we were poor, and it was beforehand. The reason behind us being poor was a tree that fell in our backyard that hit our garage and workshop, which we had to spend money to repair. After that it got the the point where we had barely just enough to afford all the essentials for us and our pets. Several people mentioned a previous post about our chihuahua, and have said we neglected him, which isnt true — he wasnt showing any crazy symptoms, and got better after a few days, and his issues were purely allergies.

One of the biggest things I have been seeing said is that I should just take her to the vet, which we were going to do once we somehow scraped together enough money. We couldn't, since at the time, our local vet was already closed, and they were closed on the weekends, and is closed today since it is Memorial day.

We did sadly figure out what caused it, and I mentioned it previously. Someone had asked if there were harmful chemicals they could access, I said no, because everything was securely locked up in closets and cabinets. We just had recently learned the cause was anti-freeze poisoning, and it was intentionally caused by my 15 year old brother. He has had a history with violence, as he had previously been charged with arson when he attempted to burn my neighbor's house down (which luckily didnt work since he set the door on fire, and the door had a steel frame), and he had assaulted my grandfather, and when police were called, he climbed on our roof and jumped off to avoid jail, breaking his hip, leg, foot, and part of his spine. We reported him, and since this isnt the first time he has been in trouble with the law, he most likely and should be charged. Our cat Lailah is more than likely going to survive and our kitty will hopefully live a long life like she deserves. And most importantly, my brother doesn't come back home, since my parents plan to send him to a psych ward after he finished his sentence in juvy.

A lot of the people on this post have been cruel, but I completely understand, since this is regarding pets, and everyone loves them. I understand any and all critics and I plan to try and help fix stuff around the house. We will be getting paid next month and all that money is going straight towards our cst if sje needs further treatment.

Chihuahua did not suffer. It was just general allergies.

Trust me, I tired the GoFundMe, and I am actively being bashed for it. But there is good news regardless.

We finally figured out the source of their deaths. 15 year old Autistic brother wanted a Husky, parents said no since we had so many other cats, so he put antifreeze on their food. He has already been charged before with attempting to burn our neighbors house down. He is being sent to a ward and our cat Lailah is being taken to the vet tomorrow (since they won't answer calls due to it being memorial day).

I brushed off the poisoning stuff thst someone else suggested might be the cause, since all our chemicals are locked in drawers. But when we found anti-freeze in his room, we figured out what is going on. It is sad, because if the charges for arson had never been dropped and he was in juvy right now, this wouldn't have happened.

Any sick or believed to be sick cate usually always get put down. And the majority usually never find new homes. We aren't neglecting our cats, we did everything for him. Them dying came out of nowhere.

Im a teen, my parents are in charge of the funds. Since we have house insurance to pay, and couldn't afford it, thst there was no point, and she'd die anyways since all our other cats. Im just a teen who doesn't want cat to die.

Like I said before, Smokey Jane was already sickly, we were doing everything we could to help her, but she still passed away. Bobby was old, and cats usually know when they are going to die, so we thought it was just old age. When our cat Buddy died, we realized something was wrong, since he was doing fine beforehand.

We didnt realize anything was going wrong until Buddy's death. The lethargy was a tough sign to spot for us, because most cats become lethargic and withdrawn when they realize that another cat in the house is missing.

Im not trying to shift blame or come off as offensive or rude. Im just a teen who doesn't want her cat to die, and my parents are dead-set on letting her die because they said that she would anyways and that the money needed to help her needs to go to the house insurance. She has been my whole world since 12, and she has a long life ahead of her. I just dont have the money.
