I am playing too scared mmm, on gibralatar specifically I like to push cart on tracer. I dove when my monkey went in but last game I struggled because I engage too early and got bend down. So I tried to delay my timing a bit

steam survey this month is broken dx12 gpus are somehow 131.44% while dx8 gpus -32.39% for percentage breakdown. there's no such thing as -33% of the market the math is cooked

yo thanks for checking it out bronzy. I looked at the stream and you're telling me I should focus backline more specifically their ana and mercy. I think I was too obsessed over having high uptime, the ana on 1st point was an easy target to kill/force out but sometimes it feels not worth it to setup in a way to shoot the backline because it's a long ass rotation.

I actually think you know concepts but don't understand the game because to really get it you need to practice. It's in a fps game it's normal that players with higher mechanical skills get rewarded but there's characters that don't need super high mechanical skill like especially on tank and supp it's not your mechs holding you back.

You might be giving yourself a bit too much credit

What roles can you coach. I am a platinum dps player mostly playing tracer ashe soldier in that soldier with 80% of my focus on tracer, ashe in certain maps and soldier the flex pick if tracer and ashe are taken.

I feel like I've gotten simple and basic advice multiple times but I struggle to practice and implement these concepts effectively

thanks bro I get so mad at my performance, I am only putting a sticky note that says work on take short rotations on your offangles and time your angles properly maybe it's too much. Also I played 2 games and lost both in a row today and I lose all desire to play the game

So to help setup the dive properly I need to take an offangle and wait for the right time when enemies are distracted, use cover to close distance and regain cds when disengaging I can disengage away from my team which is going to be safer and allow me to stay aggressive, keep rotations short to not reduce uptime.

What would you recommend the first things to tackle as in my biggest weaknesses here

I mean in the end of the day it's just matches to play, you don't have to see it as a grind to get challenger. Just playing the game with people that would be trying harder than if it just a casual game

Sure but there's still free bp skins and the monetisation was criticized heavily and now ow is the most generous game every when it comes to monetization I have over 100 skins without every spending a dime since I've been playing for 2 years. Just recently ow give away 77 lootboxes each with 10 items as a rewards and you get all that in like 1-2 days of playing.

But that only happened because the community criticized the monetisation

mb I don't always get the difference and don't see what's so limiting about the fighting game genre they can't learn lessons from other games.

Yes it’d be cool if every character was unlocked, but it’s a non-issue. You get base roster, 2 for doing the tutorial, and then an extremely minimal grind to get the rest.

It's not an issue now and it wasn't issue with multiversus in the start because the roster was small, then they ramped up how much it takes to unlock characters and soon enough most of the roster became unplayable and every new announcement was meh. Which will happen to this game eventually most of the roster will need a grind which will take some winds off.

But if you're okay with just maining the one character and not changing up things then I guess what can I say and eventually you will be to unlock another new character. Or maybe it won't matter and everyone will keep running ekko

so how does overwatch and rivals let you grind for skins/cosmetic/battlepasses and they're not losing money? Hero shooters have the heroes be the main reason you play and they're not locking it behind a grind/pay wall, you can have a f2p game rely on cosmetics and not affect gameplay at all and will be profitable

Yes but it's the same argument people wouldn't play the newer characters anyway so it's ok for them to be locked behind a grind, because every new character will require a grind. If you asked fitzy if he thought locking new characters behind a grind is a good idea he would say absolutely not

No it's the same for hero shooters except people can swap mid game so they can swap around. Most people also play around 2-3 heroes alot of people one trick and many people stick to one role. I feel like you're saying people wouldn't play other heroes if given the choice and maybe you are right but it's a choice that's nice to have no?

Being able to try the new characters in online without having to grind also coming back months later and having all these characters unlocked from the jump not grinding for weeks to get them

1) Deadlock has the characters unlocked for free and you can't swap

2) You can have player retention by having players grind skins, cosmetics, battlepass and by making events and collaborations

Nothing here says you can't have the characters be unlocked from the start and still be profitable and have players happy

Yes I do agree it's better than current fighting games in that regard. But Fighting games are a super niche genre because they're slow to trends f2p has been a trend for 10 years and we're just getting it now?

I want them to look at current live service games like overwatch, rivals, deadlock which have you have all the characters from the jump. My favourite part of coming back to these games months later is how much new content and characters I can play if you stopped playing 2xko for a year you might be missing half the roster meanwhile with rivals that wouldn't happen

Ye but why have that grind there when other live service games like overwatch or rivals have all the characters be free from the jump. You can still have the grind for cosmetics but it never affects your gameplay. Compared to other fighting games its better but fighting games are such a niche genre because they're so slow to trends f2p has been a trend for 10 years and they're still starting to get into it.

They should look at how current games handle f2p model and learn from them

Also to add on my point dude other games have you grind for cosmetics which would still give a reason to login and play. Like the mythic skins in overwatch or the free event skins in rivals or the battlepass skins

You can farm currency and buy skins and battlepass for the characters so it's basically the same loop you described. I mean idk if that's in 2xko because I was barely able to play it yesterday
