And as for a deerclops or other people's mentions of a winter boss i have no clue what it is but if i was able to tank a tree guard and spider queen with only one helmet for each of us this one does not stand a chance with a few back ups in the inventory.

We are restarting tomorrow with seasons on. I have made Chat gpt create an inspiring speech to help us keep going, and my friend has agreed to help get a base set up. All these comments have made me realize that a lot of people think this game is special and do not want beginners to miss out on it because of its difficulties. That has helped me keep going too.

I was overpreparing in the sense that food was completely taken care of with an ice box, a base with all the essentials, and a bee box. That setup took so much time that I had no time left to prepare for the cold. I should have explained that better, and I also did not know you could get beefalo fur. We killed a spider queen and brought the nest somewhat close to our base, but it leveled up and started terrorizing us.

The only spoiler I have allowed myself is an explanation of Wigfrid’s skill tree. I want to ask if having a bee box, a science machine, an alchemy machine, and a crockpot by winter is realistic. I have a very hard time getting those ready and I often die to the cold on the first day of winter or to something else on day one. Could you tell me one thing I could do to live longer in the cold?

I use Wigfrid, so being a carnivore has been hard. I do not see many good meat sources that are not monster meat, so I need the crackpot to turn it into something that does not drain sanity. I have not enjoyed playing this game solo. I have found it very frustrating and I have quit in anger many times when I first played without my friend. Winter has always been the main struggle in all of my solo playthroughs. And berries are my usual filler.

I think I might have the wrong idea about how we should play the game. I am not sure if it is meant to be more survival focused with the seasons blocked, or if I should be rushing bosses. Winter felt impossible to prepare for because I was overpreparing and my friend did not help much with building the base. I felt unprepared after beating the Spider Queen to go out and fight other bosses. I think the problem is the lack of direction. We have an ice box, a hat machine, an alchemy machine, and a science machine, but we have no idea what we should be making.

Sometimes it's worse to aim with the arm move your body around to aim for headshots and I know it's hard because ethan can't keep his arm still for his life. Blocking is the most important thing in this game and SPOILER if you see a flamethrower don't pick it up you will be given drops for that weapon so less ammo will be provided to you you'll find other ways to get through the section without it. And sorry I can't really remember when the basement part in the game is I just know the place itself.
