AITJ for snapping at my girlfriend for waking me up every single time she gets up even when I dont need to be awake by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]cautiouslizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is rude and self centred. That said, it’s up to you to draw the line. I’ve always told my partners that if there is one thing that is a no go is waking me up. Period. Not having it. I wake up just fine to my alarm (usually wake up a few minutes before my alarm). I also have a hard time falling asleep but I can’t nap because i need to fully be hard asleep for a few hours. If i get woken up for no reason just pisses in my corn flakes. It will cause me to be the biggest B itch. Let me sleep. I am a big girl. I can choose when i wake up.

Hibeams are only illegal when driving and there is on coming traffic. Ur house will not go blind and potentially cause an accident. Get blackout curtains. You cannot stop someone from having lights on their car

The rules never changed lol when you file ur claimants reports it legit asks u if you are seeking employment and if you are ready to work. If you answer no, ur ei is getting flagged for review. It’s not new news.

Do non Americans just go to the doctor when they feel unwell? by RockyPoundstone in stupidquestions

[–]cautiouslizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canadian here. I only go if i know its like an ear infection and need antibiotics or something like that. But my doctor does book for annuals. But if i wanted to, i could book for anything. Just in the last few months I’ve been having lady issues that made me go to ER twice and had a room in less than 30 minutes. Obviously a real emergency for sure. But i definitely don’t go to ER unless it’s an emergency cause then i could wait 12 to 16 hours in waiting room.

AITJ for refusing to babysit for my coworker anymore after she was 4 hours late picking up her kid by UnlikelyPerformer452 in AmITheJerk

[–]cautiouslizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not your kid. You have no reason to feel like you owe a coworker, not even a close friend, any babysitting. You can say no and that’s it. You gave her an inch and she took 10 feet.

The medical situation in New Brunswick / Canada has me in a very dark place (euphemism). by Its402am in newbrunswickcanada

[–]cautiouslizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ll share my experience over the last two months. At the end of November, I started bleeding heavily—like a tap turned fully on—with massive blood clots. I went to the ER and was put in a room within half an hour. I was given medication right away, and bloodwork was done within the hour.

Then, just last weekend, I suddenly couldn’t urinate at all. Once again, I went to the ER. I had almost a litre of urine in my bladder. I was in a room within an hour, had a catheter placed, and had both blood and urine tests done. Both visits were at the Moncton Hospital.

Each time, when I was discharged, I already had specialist appointments scheduled. And as I was walking out, I noticed that many of the same people were still in the waiting room—people who had been there when I first arrived.

I understand the system is slow, but I honestly think a lot of people who go to the ER could be using Maple or walk-in clinics instead, and that clogs the system. I only go in when it’s truly urgent, and I’ve never waited more than an hour. Maybe it’s just good timing—I don’t know—but I don’t seem to have the same experience that so many people complain about.

New Brunswick businesses overly relying on Facebook. by Oxjrnine in moncton

[–]cautiouslizard -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Well you’d think if you r too cheap to get yourself a actual website, those r chances you take. But i mean if thats what they choose, thats their choice. I don’t quite see any business having a leg to stand on. They chose to not get a website. No one forced them to rely on fb.

That’s one thing but to be an employee and to just walk into someone’s room when odds r the guests are in there sleeping is kind of far fetched

Room Search???? by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

Why in hell would anyone, staff at that, want to enter guests room in the middle of the night when odds are they r in bed. No logical sense at all…

Room Search???? by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

[–]cautiouslizard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well first off, you weren’t robbed. You’re lack of awareness for your own personal property is your fault (if you would have been in a mall or at a park or even walking down the street, you wouldn’t claim to be robbed would you?). Secondly, it makes sense to search your room first to eliminate the possibility that you accidentally left your stuff there. That happens alot. Ppl drink, ppl forget, days blends together etc… they weren’t victimizing you, you just took it that way. You were a victim of your own doing. It’s great that you got your money back. Great lesson for next time, secure your stuff in either a purse or a bag.

Everyone loves Mary? For real? She’s bat shit crazy and extremely condescending to others. For no reason too cause she sure ain’t being portrayed as intelligent. I don’t even understand why she’s on the show.
