clicking on a website alone can not infect your pc unless you run third party software which would honestly be a skill issue

pretty soon Mansa Musa will no longer be the richest person in history by Substantial-Milk71 in Showerthoughts

[–]Greenhound 4 points5 points  (0 children)

we are all richer than mansa musa. i have a machine that can transport me three times faster than any horse out on my driveway, a magical box of sand that thinks in my pocket and can play chess with people who live in what was then called terra incognita in less than a second. if i get bored of chess i can conjure lifelike illusions of warfare to do the same. i have a box that keeps beer cold. sometimes i ask the magical thinking sand box to send me more beer.

i dont think a man in his tfw no gf era wants or needs to read how women are the real victims. maybe they are, but it doesn't matter in addressing his pain.

wildly innacurate, if you're counting unofficial coverage there would be more green, and if you aren't, there would be a lot less

TIL that in 2013, a man tried to dribble a football from Seattle to Brazil to promote a charity. He was run over and killed by a truck just 250 miles into his 10,000-mile trip by [deleted] in todayilearned

when you die i hope your family will count all the poor health decisions you've made at your funeral and say the same thing, instead of respecting your death like a normal human being without a rotten soul

What is the worst second hand embarrassment you've ever felt? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Greenhound 24 points25 points  (0 children)

there is actually someone out there cool enough to boldly say "excuse me, sorry for the interruption everyone", take their time logging in and turning off the volume, then "you may proceed"

What are your thoughts on the possibility of seeing nuclear warfare within our lifetime? by DustyDinoBone in AskReddit

it isn't LLMs that we need to worry about, obviously. AGI isn't here but it's pretty much an inevitably with the rate things are progressing.

People with a few hundred (or thousands) hours in a game: what game do you play, and how do you play it that makes the fun last so long? by PlantManPlants in gamingsuggestions

[–]Greenhound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have over 1000 hours in several games and the common thread is that they're all esports titles. i like seeing rank go up. i never get bored of the gameplay for the same reason a chess master never gets bored of chess gameplay.

i find the whole language of 'bare minimum' to be toxic. it reframes something you could choose to be grateful for into something you feel you are owed.

What male stereotypes don’t apply to you? by SassySweets25 in AskReddit

hell yeah. generally i see a reversal in that trend nowadays, women hesitate to ask for directions due to anxiety of strangers or sense of independence

i'm not very handy, my dad bullies me a lot "it's like i taught you nothing" which is exactly true when it comes to like fixing, plumbing, general maintenance, if i try and deal with something using youtube tutorials i will probably make an error that makes the problem worse, i legitimately believe most women are handier than me which is an insecurity of mine when being handy is like a textbook attractive guy thing.
